Man, this game was so much fun to play, and the career mode was just as good as Chase for the Cup 05'
Waifu Wars Racing My absolute favorite parts were the scenarios. For instance, you would have to avoid a crash that really happened in NASCAR history. More modern racing games need real-life scenarios to practice through.
I’m so thankful heat 5 and rivals brought those features back. Was my favorite from thunder 2004!

I got this game, a ps2, a cordless controller and a USB headset for Christmas I felt like bad ass. This game was amazing.

iirc they made the cutscene back when dale jr still used that logo, then dei(teresa) likely made ea switch it to the dei logo during the later stages of development. and with how rendering worked back then I would assume they had no time to fix the cutscene and re-render it

God I used to love this game when I was a child. I wanted it because of playing Daytona USA 2 in an arcade in Exmouth and I could not find a way to replicate the experience at home. So this was the closest thing, thank god for Emulators eh?

If nascar brings back older gen cars to run with newer gen cars I’d get back into the games.
I have no idea how you were able to get this game to run so well. I did get the 60 FPS chest to work but I’ve tried what seems like every possible setting on both 1.4 and 1.5 and I get massive slowdowns and flickering/weird horizontal lines going down the screen. I can get the lines to go away by using blend tff, but that setting slows everything down and makes it look less sharp.
I can’t get the graphics to look as sharp and the gameplay to be as smooth as yours.
Any tips or advice? I copied your 1.5 settings but haven’t had much luck. My PC is about the same as yours but with a gtx 1080, so hardware isn’t the problem....

how did u get the pcsx2 emulator to work without the game lagging really bad? i have NT:2004 and NASCAR '06 for the emulator but both games have very bad lag.

WOW! Well I must say I finally got the game to work correctly on my PCSX2 without the busted textures. But dude how in the HELL did you get this to run at 60fps? I had both versions and neither one ran at 60fps. I'd love to be able to make that happen for my Fight to the Top live streams :]

Hey, we're getting there okay. This was like the 15th NASCAR title game EA Sports released. NASCAR Heat 4 is more playable and enjoyable than NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup, and is only like the 6th title our current developers have put out after a 14 year hiatus.

I was playing this on Xbox because of all the glitch problems on PS2. I just finished my third full season winning the Busch series championship for the second straight year, and a truck series championship as team owner, and a modified series championship with a hired driver and I was just about to start getting cup series offers. Then guess what? That's right! The fucking game won't load for the start of the fourth season. This game is really fun to play but what a missed opportunity by ea sports with the career mode.
Wait! How on earth did you get the car models to fully work!? When I tried, they were all static. Please respond. This game is like half my childhood and I REALLY wanna experience it on my computer.
You need to use OpenGL (Hardware) to fix teh car models mate.. Good luck. 👍
