the inclusiveness in this video makes me so happy. positive reflections of single moms, WOC, sex workers, older women, younger women, tans women, WLW relationships, etc. i'm living for it!
Is it weird that I got emotional while watching this??? All the girl power and strength really spoke to me. This was amazing, I can't wait for more Zolita!!!!
Not to mention people, who shame girls for their bodies, choices, etc. A girl from my school is naturally really skinny and people always make her feel like shit because of it and I tried to defend her they called me a "feminist" and kept on doing it.
This is such an empowering song. I have been bullied for being a feminist at my school and for believing that it’s my body and my choice. Zolita is so amazing, not many artists have the bravery to stand up for what they believe in. It’s so amazing that she’s using that beautiful voice of hers to spread such an awesome fucking message! Go Zolita, you’re gonna make it big!
D G.G. Yeah and new laws &punishments for “any kind of harassment” are gonna be announced soon p.s I just live there, so most of the oppressing laws doesn’t affect me! but we do fight this fight together ❤️
I'm from Saudi Arabia and girls do get education. They are just in separate schools separated by gender. We can get jobs too. Also not everyone gets beaten by their husbands. Not everyone man is abusive.
Honestly for me the star of this video is the elderly woman. It's because people like her fought for our rights that we can be as liberated as we are today.
Not to sound dramatic or anything but literally every woman should hear this song/watch this video, it’s such a empowering anthem and all the diversity makes me so happy! Zoltia is soo underrated 😩❤️
San Junipero It definitely is needed in places where women are actually oppressed, like the Middle East. In Western Society though... Absolutely not. Nobody is oppressed here.
According to wikipedia "During prenatal development, the umbilical cord is physiologically and genetically part of the fetus" I.E. NOT a part of the woman's body. Education can be helpful.
It's an awful shame that women cannot take care of their adult responsibilities without committing murder for convenience, but I guess we all make our own choices. I think you'll find that somebody else's body isn't YOUR body. It's a human you decided to create- whether you consider it a "person" or "alive"
moultie Last I checked a woman deciding not to bring a child into this world that she cannot support is taking care of an adult responsibility. It's making the responsible decisions not to birth a child that she can not support or take care of... Also when most abortions are done they are before the fetus is viable to survive on its own, smh enough with the "murder" bs clearly it's not Or laws would not protect it... and btw, not your body not your business.
just discovered zolita and i'm in tears. this song particularly means so much to me as a victim. empowerment after complete disempowerment. thank you zolita for your empowering messages (can't thank you enough)! this is exactly what so many people need to hear, which is why the diversity in this music video is even more meaningful and important. and, yes, i have decided to stan and probably buy that necklace!
This is such a masterpiece and it's sending a great message, while being catchy at the same time what the heck? I think I'm obsessed. Also that younger girl has got some moves! Love you 💕✨
If it really is *your* body, it really is your choice. If it is not really *your* body then exercising your *rights* might be infanticide. Trite little saying you have there. The ignorant will believe it sums up the problem completely. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Okay, so Zolita is a feminist and lesbian, but get this, she's also inclusive of trans women, woc, women of different body shapes, religions, back grounds etc. Have I chosen to stan? Yes I have. Am I in love? Quite possibly
I'm a pagan and i can honestly say this is amazing and I hope many more women are able to break the chain and realize their potential to be greater than their surroundings. And no pagans do not worship the devil or at least most.
This song is awesome! I really love Zolita's songs. All of them make me feel stronger. Thank you so much for all your work Zolita. You're so great musician 😊❤
Except for the part of the video that mentions Muslims, because Muslims are against women's rights and the video is saying they support that, while the song is about women's rights. BIG CONTRADICTION!!! Not a big surprise though, because most music artists are ignorant and tend to be puppets for political messages they know nothing about.
As a mother of a beautiful daughter with no family besides her.. your music makes me feel so powerful and confident I hope she can grow up strong, confident and indepentint as well.. we women have no idea the strength we are capable of
The messages in the lyrics are beautiful and empowering, and the messages in the video are also beautiful and empowering. They're all beautiful people and this song is really cool. I really needed this A lot :)
ZOLITA I can not believe you answered me It's really nice that you answer your fans I appreciate it and continue to bring us such beautiful songs love you ❤😍😘❤❤
I'm always proud to be a woman but stuff like this makes me want to scream it from the mountain tops and hug every girl i see!! AHHH YES THE WORLD NEEDS MORE BADASS AND EMPOWERING MUSIC AND VIDEOS LIKE THIS!!
trash for tae I just said you had no hand in society because all till recently women did nothing. You wouldn't even be saying this if things weren't so easy for you now. I'm not saying in today's world you need a man despite if you realize it or not a man is still taking care of you. I'm saying you wouldn't be saying this if the world wasn't so easy. You wouldn't be saying this if our government didn't take care of you. If everything we have today was lost you'd run to strongest person who'll take care of you. Like women been doing since humans existed.
Minn H. Did you not see the trans woman, the black girls out of school, the muslim, the black woman with the baby and all the people in the last part of the video, dancing? There is diversity even in the age of the women here. This is freaking empowering
F Stanz do not misunderstand women are more and more free in Morocco and only a small minority is oppressed, very few are veiled and many go to the beach in bikini like you
I love that this isn't representing a toxic, "white feminism" point of view. It's inclusive of women of color, different backgrounds, religions, and body types. It celebrates them as the wonderful, strong women they are - without apology and with full acceptance. It's not just a bunch of white, skinny, conventionally attractive women making cliché statements. I think that's BRILLIANT and fucking powerful and I'd love to see more of this in the mainstream music industry!
it has white feminism a bit tho. saying "making money and u bit**es get broke" is literally an ignorant statement by a woman in privilege in the first world neglecting WOC in the second and third world that struggle making money as women. the singer is singing based on the situations in the first world. This is liberal/white feminism that don't intersect with the realities of women outside the first world countries. TRUE FEMINISM IS THE MARXIST FEMINISM.. Liberal/white feminism is so cringe when it comes to full ignorance about the connection between capitalism, patriarchy, and misogyny.
when i was 12 years old at the beginning of my transition from male to female this song always brought me comfort through a dark time even though i still struggle im still fighting cuz I FIGHT LIKE A GIRL 💗👯♀️🚺
I'm Muslim and i'm a girl and i'm a homosexual and i know my voice. Thank you for this song. edit after 2 years: omg the comments made me surprised... thank you guys xx
pii aaa Oh yes, because she has total control over all the muslin population. This make as much sense as if you gone to your local cristian church and blamed them for kkk actions.
I'm ready for this to become a religion (but it'll actually be a feminist cult where we sing Zolita songs for 1 whole hour and every time it ends we'll be like praise be to god or sum shi)

I'm giving birth to a little boy in about a month and it's my goal to make sure he empowers himself and all those around him. To recognize the trials of those different around him, including women. So that when his sisters, and all minorities are down he can help lift them up ❤️❤️❤️ loooove this video. He was jammin out in my tummy to it 😜
An fantastic edit on Twitter sent me here. When I heard the lyrics and the melody, I was hooked. I asked for the song's details, and the poster told me, Fight Like A Girl by Zolita! So I immediately searched it on RUclips. As a feminist myself, I am very proud of Zolita for representing so many kinds of amazing women around the world. She even took the liberty of acknowledging issues regarding women's rights in society! It really makes my heart soar. I am pleased to say that this is my new anthem to listen to whenever someone tells me I can't do something based solely on my gender, or just in general because this is a BEAUTIFUL BOP. Thank you Zolita for creating such a magnificent masterpiece 💞💞💞
this song will honestly connect every woman that sees it. Zolita is amazing, so glad that we have a song for women, that doesnt involve politics, religion, and that it just celebrates being women!
It's like a triumphant spin on the handmaid's tale. The way they use the red colour not as oppression but as a symbol loud as day, taking back their place and showing the world they don't own them. Girls are magic. ❤
@Hannah Brown religión is for everyone. christians do it all the time. the book says so much is a sin but all they care about is who someone loves or who someone used to be. soo
I'm so thankful I've found someone like me in the music industry who also incorporates their identity into their music. It's hard for me to find someone who also likes girls and makes music about it, let alone a feminist who is gay and practices witchcraft. So I find this so empowering, and it makes me feel appreciated in this worldwide sisterhood of all women, no matter our birth sex, race, religion, orientation, or expression. Plus it's hard being 14 and not having peers to understand all these concepts, so I've found a sort of friend in Zolita and her music. And I've had some nice internet conversations with her. If you read this Zolita, never stop doing what you're doing! I'm so grateful that you're here and giving all sorts of people a voice. Oh, and this song made me realize that even though I'm a redhead, I can wear red ❤. - Ava Lee
I absolutely love women taking back the “fight like a girl” saying and giving it a good meaning like it should have 🖤🖤

Hypocritikill to misogynists it is. But in reality feminism is and always has been a incredibly important role in progressing society

Thank you for including trans women in this message. It really means the world.
❤❤❤❤ all the love for trans women :)
watched it 4th times andI'm still looking for trans women in this video
SweetTVXQ5 it literally is written ahead of the shots of her "trans and muslims stand for refugees" or something similar
SweetTVXQ5 i checked and it was "Muslim trans stand with refugees & asylees".
Ok but where is she? What minute
this song will honestly connect every woman that sees it. Zolita is amazing, so glad that we have a song for women, that doesnt involve politics, religion, and that it just celebrates being women!
Thank you for the lovely comment!
"My body, my choice, my rights and my voice" feels so important right now...
I had to listen again in these dark times for women's rights
It's like a triumphant spin on the handmaid's tale. The way they use the red colour not as oppression but as a symbol loud as day, taking back their place and showing the world they don't own them. Girls are magic. ❤
I NEED THIS ON SPOTIFY AAAA
Soon!
Thing you for adding a Muslim trans in this video it's really needed, love you girl💕
Lama Amal love you too ❤️
Clothing and clown make up doesn’t determine ones gender

@Hannah Brown religión is for everyone. christians do it all the time. the book says so much is a sin but all they care about is who someone loves or who someone used to be. soo
@Hannah Brown oh wow, you are an assehole
Yesss!! Love it!! Need more!
More to come!
I love the message behind this song!!! so empowering
