    Hey, I'm fairly new to politics, trying to understand how people see the world. I'm so curious what people make of what Trump said just after 18:10, "You know, now, a murderer, I believe this, it's in their genes and we've got a lot of bad genes in our country right now." How do you interpret this? Do you think genetics is a determining factor of criminality?

    • @willykraus6374
      @willykraus6374 10 часов назад +3

      He’s being racist

    • @suicidalmemester23
      @suicidalmemester23 8 часов назад +1

      - Epigenetic(parental trauma increases anxiety even when adopted young)
      - Environmental(lead and other heavy metal plastics "forever chemicals" nutrition etc)
      - Cultural/social(Expectations and examples, social fulfillment or lack therof, is there realistically a future for you?)
      - Economic(is there realistically a future for you in terms of basic needs, childhood poverty)
      - Individual(Disposition and upbringing, who you get exposed to)
      - Legal/Political(laws and degree of enforcement)
      and yes genetic factors contribute varing amounts towards criminality. keep in mind there is greater genetic variation within any given population of humans than between and our notions of race and nationality do not map onto actual genetic groups - not to mention a great deal of gene flow throughout history and more recently. No, Latinos are not genetically predisposed to crime - even the darker ones - and yes that is what he was getting at. He's hinting at some pretty old and heinous ideas.
      He later says America can't be run by low IQ individuals - do you think he means a technocratic dystopia given his renowned love for intellectuals, or could he mean something else by that? Who's obsessed with IQ?
      Theres a long history to read up on between the US gov and gangs in Latin America - and also migrant labor and the US economy. or on race in America I suppose

    • @meep9135
      @meep9135 2 часа назад

      Well on one hand people will say he’s being racist and on the other hand he’s just stating what he believes; that murderers have bad genes. Not migrants, murderers. It just so happened that when he mentioned it, it came right after he was talking about 13000 illegal immigrants that happened to be murderers, so it sounds racist. It doesn’t help him either though, that he says we have a lot of bad genes in America right now, which can also be seen as racist but since he believes murderers are the ones with bad genes it can also be said he’s referring to those specific people.
      Now are genes a determining factor to criminality. In some cases, yes, in all cases, no. It’s the nature vs nurture debate. Think serial killers, a good amount of them were traumatized as children and turned out the way they were. Others had amazing lives and were still awful people. Now does that mean all psychopaths and sociopaths are killers, no. In fact, chances are someone you know is one to some degree if not totally, and even then total psychopaths and sociopaths aren’t always violent, just very self centered or have a complete lack of empathy, and yet they still function in society.
      So genes in a way can affect criminality, and here’s a hypothetical. Someone who is born completely devoid of empathy has “bad genes,” and someone born with it has “good genes.” The bad apple will have a significantly easier time committing acts of harm than the good apple. Now, the bad apple can still choose to not inflict harm. However, it will be harder for them to get there, since they probably couldn’t care less. They could also decide not to commit out of self preservation, and yet despite the selfish reason no one was harmed meaning that they can function in society. Now onto the good apple. The good apple while still capable of committing harm and violence will have a harder time getting to that point and crossing that line; while the bad apple could play jump rope with the line and have no second thoughts.
      So in some ways genes can determine criminality, because for some it comes easier; however not everyone with these “bad genes” are criminals or bad people.
      PS: Sorry about the poor grammar it’s late and I should be asleep.

    softball questions from Hugh to Trump. Trump said Iran can't be allowed to build nuclear weapons, but the issue is whether the Iran regime have the infrastructure to quickly build a nuclear arsenal: centrifuges, weaponization labs and missiles.

      why did trump leave the Iran accords which prevented Iran from enriching uranium to the extent that it could be use to make a nuclear bomb in the first place? trump allowed Iran to develop its nuclear capabilities to where they are today.

    • @marchess286
      @marchess286 14 часов назад

      Trump left the accords, aka, jcpoa, aka, iran nuclear deal, because they didn't actually prevent the Iran regime from acquiring a nuclear arsenal and regional hegemony but facilitated it, as part of the Obama admin Iran regime raprochmont/appeasement policy. Specifically, jcpoa removed sanctions, allowing the Iran regime to become flush with oil revenue, not disclose past nuclear work, have only limited inspections at a limited number of nuclear sites, build long range missiles, conduct near manufacturing "research" on advanced centrifuges, have many large military sites off limits to inspections and sunset after a few years. Obama admin polices were resumed in the Biden admin. This has been extensively documented in the work of Mike Doran, Tony Badran and Lee Smith
