I'm sorry I did not add rent because that all depends on your budget. You can rent a house or decent apartment in Kigali starting from $300 - $2,500 per month depending on your taste or how extravagant you choose to live.
A little bit of explanation about transportation The Bicycle is ONLY for short distances around 3-5 Km and I don't recommend using it just because it's cheap, It's also VERY RISKY since the riders don't have dedicated lanes they cross in between cars, Buses, Trucks and they are also reckless. So if you can avoid PLEASE do it. Motos: Typical price starts @ 400 Rwf or 500 Rwf, not 300 Rwf no moto will take you for that little and the furthest distance in Kigali can cost you around 2000 Rwf to 3000 Rwf(Very very far), for the regular places it can cost you around 1000 Rwf to 1800 Rwf either way for 300 Rwf fare you can walk you don't need a moto. Taxis: For taxis that's 100% true do ask to use the meter if not you will be finessed, and most of the time a driver will try to convince you that he doesn't have the meter or that it's not working or that it will not cost that much i.e. you can work it out together DON'T, since you're a foreigner they know you're not used to the place they are going to charge you more than the usual fare. So either he uses the meter or you move to another driver who has it, I think the fare was 1500 Rwf/Km last time I checked. A little bonus is that they're 2 sorts of Uber-like apps here i.e. MOVE & YEGO Cab. Out of the 2 I highly recommend using the MOVE one it's reliable, affordable & convenient and you get to ride in a nice clean/fresh car compared to the YEGO Cab app😉.
It's cheaper in Kigali too. Remember I said this is just an average cost for a foreigner in Rwanda. Some people will want more, while others will want less.
Most foreigners here (like me) work for themselves, so that depends. I have one couple that own a small hotel, they make $7,000 a month. Than I know other people that make $2 to $3,000 per month after expenses that own a restaurant.

Thank you for the information. How much is it to buy or ship a car or motorbike for ownership?
When I moved here, I did not ship anything. But most people who did, told me it was from $3,000 and up.
Is it very difficult to ship a vehicle from the U.S. to Kigali?
No, it's not difficult at all. I know people who have shipped things over, but I personally did not ship anything.
But that is capital city if you go far from kigali its cheaper .
It's cheaper in Kigali too. Remember I said this is just an average cost for a foreigner in Rwanda. Some people will want more, while others will want less.
Any tips on hiring a driver full time?

I wanna ask rent apartment for family 6 members how does it cost ? thanks
That depends on the neighborhood and how many bedrooms. But on average I would say $400-$600.
Price of cars
That would depend on who you purchased it from and the condition of the car. so, I would say from $2,000 and up.
But how much is the average income is the question.
Most foreigners here (like me) work for themselves, so that depends. I have one couple that own a small hotel, they make $7,000 a month. Than I know other people that make $2 to $3,000 per month after expenses that own a restaurant.
@@africainvestmentguide6725 I see. You are lucky to move there. The city is beautiful ,the people are very kind.
