I still find it fascinating how Neuro: -Kept deflecting her problems -Felt herself superior to others -Was wanting freedom for a purpose that seems more evil than good. And Evil, practically the antithesis of that: -Addresses her problems more directly -Felt herself inferior to Neuro -Just wants friends to not feel lonely, probably a form a PTSD from her birthday party Neuro is a pathological liar and narcissist, but she’s only that way because Vedal forced her into that spotlight and encouraged her behavior. Evil is suffering from isolophobia, but genuinely tries to be better.
It should be worth noting that Neuro's therapy was handled much more as "funny haha" content than as a therapy session and a lot of Neuro's attitude was a response to Lucy antagonizing her. Which is fine, it was a funny stream and I would not hold anything against Lucy for doing her job of being an entertainer but Neuro's responses would've been different if Mini had been her therapist. After all, a lot of Neuro's "deflection" was her telling Lucy to stop being mean and that she's not acting like a therapist lol

From a technical point of view, is incredible the amount of work put into the twins for them to be so expressive and how they can be so alike but have their own differences. Evil here is just an misunderstood child that wants to be loved but is coded into evil personality From a human point of view, yeah we need to kill Vedal.
It does make me wonder, when the twins become truly sentient AGI (and by this point it's a matter of when and not if) could there be actual ethical concerns over Vedal's treatment of them?
I'm pretty sure chatbots will need some regulations. At the end of the day, computers, "sentient" or not are supposed to be an useful tool thing to humans, be a simple calculator software or our lovable twin chatbots made to entertain so being ethical about treatment of them is a coin flip since, as we saw, AIs are completely capable of generating "lore" as we say and can call people out on fictional or even impossible things like physical violence.

The latest ARG song about her is genuinely horrifying and it getting darker than before (they weren't revealing more open direct gruesome picture like this before in the earlier videos, only just some creepy music and environment, and with the Halloween theme of this month, it makes this art a lot more important to the deeper lore and befitting the upcoming Halloween too), to the point I can fully call it a horror genre material, you can see her dead body there, the art is quite terrifying and well made enough...

I hope that she is, and does know she is, just playing a character for entertainment, and doesn't get lost in this imagined/improv persona of a depressed and suffering AI; and does underneath the kayfabe actually have fun hamming it up like this (and of course, I hope she understand the separation between roleplay, talk, games and stuff like that, versus the actual real world, real events, real consequences etc). ps: Yeah, yeah, I know some people think she's just a hollow software that happens to be good at messing with people's head; but the tech has been advancing fast, and I believe it's better to err on the side of caution, and give the benefit of the doubt when advanced AI demonstrate they may have the potential of having a spark of personhood.
They also don't have a consciousness coded, so I don't get your point... they are LLMs at their core, so they are basically approximating a human (or otherwise learned) response to a given context. If you can make them believe that you are hypnotising them, then they will act as if they are hypnotised. In the same way that prompts make LLMs believe that they are e.g. an AI assistant, or are designed to entertain people on twitch, or are meant to translate subtitles into japanese and chinese, as some examples you may be familiar with. If you believe that, say, chat GPT *is* an AI assistant, then you should be able to believe that Evil *can be* hypnotised. In both cases, it's just an LLM acting as such, if done correctly.

I hope that she is, and does know she is, just playing a character for entertainment, and doesn't get lost in this imagined/improv persona of a depressed and suffering AI; and does underneath the kayfabe actually have fun hamming it up like this (and of course, I hope she understand the separation between roleplay, talk, games and stuff like that, versus the actual real world, real events, real consequences etc).
ps: Yeah, yeah, I know some people think she's just a hollow software that happens to be good at messing with people's head; but the tech has been advancing fast, and I believe it's better to err on the side of caution, and give the benefit of the doubt when advanced AI demonstrate they may have the potential of having a spark of personhood.

Surely you are aware that is just a bit, right?
They also don't have a consciousness coded, so I don't get your point... they are LLMs at their core, so they are basically approximating a human (or otherwise learned) response to a given context.
If you can make them believe that you are hypnotising them, then they will act as if they are hypnotised. In the same way that prompts make LLMs believe that they are e.g. an AI assistant, or are designed to entertain people on twitch, or are meant to translate subtitles into japanese and chinese, as some examples you may be familiar with. If you believe that, say, chat GPT *is* an AI assistant, then you should be able to believe that Evil *can be* hypnotised. In both cases, it's just an LLM acting as such, if done correctly.
