I live in Australia and I showed this video to an Indonesian girl today who works in the same place as me. She had never heard of VOB but said they were very brave singing this music in the Hijab and she wondered how long they would be able to do it. She said they must have a lot of pressure from their families and society and said again how brave she thought they were doing this whilst wearing the Hijab. Makes this an important song I think.
She's true mate, they've got not only pressure but also harassment from some people that believe that music is forbidden in Islam (and they totally wrong). But thank God that those girls keep playing their music and they've got a lot of support much more than people who against them.

I've always been a music lover and so often ending up going down rabbit holes into uncharted depths, found these ladies the other night, one of their Metalica covers, and was so very impressed with their talent, heart, and vigor, one of those 'instant fan' things that doesn't happen to me too much. Great reactions there UAR, and I totally agree! I am quite surprised at the initial lack of their own instruments, sounds like the drummer needs a decent kit now and kinda miffed there isn't a famous band out there who'd thrown them a set of drums, or even a manufacturer (a million dollars of free publicity is nothing to sneeze at imho), just a thought du-jour :) Cheers from PNW Canada! They just got back home from a European tour and all of their shows were sold out.
