Poppy isn’t evil shes just using the player for a little longer so he can help fix the bad things that’s been happening with the factory so tbh chapter 3 may be doing poppys task or something else.

Shes not evil. She just wants to undo the evil things that happened at the factory. She keeps the player there because she knows they can help her right these wrongs.

I really don’t think she’s evil. To me, it seemed like she felt like she had to trick to player to get them to help her.
Her cut lines from the ending make me believe this even more, given that they feel a bit more emotional, genuine and almost guilty.

There’s a secret ending/ old ending with more dialogue and it shows more of why Poppy did what she did. It was cut out in the end for whatever reason. The hidden dialogue proves the betrayal was for a good cause.

Honestly, poppy isn't evil, rather just kind of using us (for good purposes supposedly, yes-- but still using us) to aid her in her own mission. I actually like how she's more in the grey zone in terms of alliance, rather than being completely evil or completely good like people speculated before chapter 2 came out.

Knowing the creators of the game and there love of Circus Baby from FNAF, I'm pretty sure Poppy could well end up being similar to her, just not evil and deranged like how Circus Baby ended up being.
Also when Poppy betrays you she used to say: I was so scared she put me back in that case. But you saved me, I know you've come to find the ones who disappeared all those years ago. But there gone, they've been gone for a long time, and I am the cause you see being able to exist as a doll, has killed so many people

Poppy isn't really evil, she just saw our potential and we may be the key to stopping whatever is going on and after what we just witnessed we probably wouldn't comply so she had to take us against our will
In the original ending of episode 2.. Poppy asks the player for help. Mentioning that things are over and she can't fix it by herself. It's actually still present in the game files. You just have to do some trickery and swap out the audio files.

Poppy isn’t really evil, but she’s not a good person. She wants to keep the player so she can undo the wrong doings in the factory. It’s why she didn’t let us escape, she literally says at the end of the game “terrible thing have happened here” “I’m sorry, but I can’t let you leave”but that’s just my opinion.

Poppy isn’t and was never evil. She switched the train so the player could learn the more sinister ways of playtime co through the playcare. Poppy knew that the player was her last chance at saving playtime co from “The Prototype,” so Poppy couldn’t let the player leave.

I wish she could've been calm and stoic, I feel as if it would show what plan she has in mind was more of a priority. The fact of the matter is that none of the toys should like or trust the protagonist, and most would want them dead. If Poppy could declare she wasn't going to be friend, but not an enemy either, she would be a very intriguing character.
She's more of a neutral character in my opinion. Her motives aren't bad but the way she goes about achieving them are

Idk about poppy i am rather mixed if she’s evil or not.. remember about the train, she says to us "you’re perfect too perfect to lose" but then she says : I’m sorry, I cannot let you leave yet". That’s kind of weird that she tries to make us understand that we are perfect in her eyes, but she wants us to do something for her. And I especially think, find the poppy flower 🤷♀️
Honestly I would’ve liked the monotone voice, it would’ve been fitting for how grim the factory is in it’s current state.
I don’t think poppy is evil, she’s just desperate. I mean, if you were stuck in some factory where everyone is suffering, and suddenly a chance to be saved just walks in, you aren’t going to pass it up.
