I started a colony, and had RHS CQC installed. I had a pretty strong colonist, playing a custom start, as a high value Deserter using the VFE Deserters Expanded mod. Got the 3 void people come by and say hi, I pick the third option and knockout one of them using CQC, the other 2 stole my stuff and bolted. Kept the one member and finished conversion and started recruiting. Got invaded by and insanely large Void army, like, about, above 80 Void guys and a ton of their pets. Absolutely obliterated my tiny one person colony. 1 week. They probably wanted the prisoner rescued.
I feel like having ending 2 be canon would overshadow the mass effect mod, since you'd have void faction gear. Unless you plan on ditching those items.
Ending 2 for sure, helps speed up the naked brutality early game you've played so much and you can just get right into the action. Loved this end to the series though felt like a good send off.
Go with 3 colonists, because the RimeEffect stuff is located after the first ship technology and you need a special extra science building(like the microanalyzer), that you only can get from an allliance Trader(Idk if you could steal it from a settlement you might wanna check that, cause your goal is probably total war). So settle near an alliance settlement. While testing the stuff out you should also adjust the alliance weapon value cause some are not nearly as good as there normal value. Ending #2 with the main goal of revenge. The fact that they left the VOID member behind and DSP's constant brainwashing toxic abilities, the member of the VOID felt so full of hatred that he wants revenge. He needs to destroy his faction. That's the only way he will feel accomplished.
in a way this provides a whole new challenge to you. fighting the void faction and taking revenge on them for the destruction of your colony. let's hope you can get a hold of some bigger badder weapons and armor if you wanna stand a chance.
Ending 2 would be awesome! Given that it's a Mass Effect themed modpack, having unique "Party Members" as colonists would be awesome. Shigeru is the pre-order companion DLC.
i like to use the Empire mod and have one of my colonies attack void and take prisoners then send them to my prison to convert them over but it takes forever because most of the time the chance is 1%. they keep all the implants but don't have the armor
Ending 2, DSP cant survive unless he has someone near him at all times to be toxic towards

Considering DSP and Foli survived that hellish raid, I don't see why they wouldn't just gtfo of there and make it into the next playthrough.

Ending 2 forsure, you have a lot of content on early to mid games but with the boost you'll get from ending 2 I think will be some awesome gameplay

Having a void member on your colony working for you seems quite overpowered... it could work if you add something to balance it out, though.
