How do you wire to your car battery when the send you the adapter with the 120 wall plug?

Quick question after I mount the actuator and run, it’s positive and negative wire to the wire that comes with a remote that goes to the little black box and the cable that exits a little black box. Does that with those wires connect to the car battery will that turn on and off the actuator thank you.
