Timeline and multiverse:
My theory says that every universe has its own main timeline and the group of these timelines is actually what we see for us as 'The Sacred Timeline'. Whenever in any of the main timelines inside the sacred timeline an unplanned event occurs, that creates a branched timeline of that main timeline. So when loki took the teseract in Loki S1 Ep1, he created a branched timeline of the main timeline of 616 universe which was reset into the main timeline of 616 universe by TVA. Eventually when Sylvie kills kang, everything that he planned came to an end and from then everything that happens is unplanned which means every thing is a nexus event and creates a branched timeline of that main timeline of that universe. In ep2 of loki S2 many of these branched realities were destroyed by the general.

On my opinion about timeline aur multiverse...
Toh loki ke season1 ke last episode mea he who remains ye batata hai, ki wo apne saare varients ko mar ke ek sacred time line banata hai aur wo sacred timeline mea saare universe ek fixed time line mea chalte hai... Yaniki jo humme ek loop circle dekhne milta hai usmea saare universe ek timeline mea chal rhe hai... Aur kuch bhi uneven hone se wahi universe ki ek nayi time line ban jaati hai aur fir TVA wale use prune karte hai...

My theory for Loki is that in branch timelines, there is only one change. For example, only sylvie changed and did things differently, and nothing else changed. In different universes, there are multiple changes non-related to each other. Branch timelines of different universes cause incursions. Multiple incursions have different kangs and cause multiversal war. Quantum realm exists as a covering over the timeline, and TVA exists in quantum as we know time does work in quantum realm. Kangs of different universes have formed the council to obtain/eradicate Alioth or due to He Who Remains death and formation of many branched timelines council has formed there base at citadel at the end of time.

My take on the multiverse and timeline matter is that there is difference between multiverse and timelines ,
- if there is a branch in sacred timeline it causes a parallel universe like what we have seen in WHAT IF( same universe with slight differences)
- were as there is a multiverse in which there are multiple universe but with huge differences ( like different actors playing same characters) like toby,anderew,deadpool universe.
-TVA is not dealing with multiverse they are just dealing with timelines specially sacered timeline
-the end of season one just opens the path of going from one universe to different universe ( thats what doc strange said we know very little about the multiverse)
- other universe such as 838 already knew about the multiverse and they were prepared about people come from different universe to there universe.

There is spacetime in a whole. Multiverse is the spacial aspect, timeline is temporal aspect. Means spacial variation create multiple universe, temporal variation create timelines. In a scared timeline and it's brunches, physics-engine is same but seperate incident happened in different temporal points , which leads to same physics but branch in timeline. But in multiverse, there is difference in physical laws itself , which leads to create wired universes like liquid universe, colour less universe, zero gravity universe etc . Variation in space is also create a space line ( a space ring) . Basically, if time line is a ring , then multiverse is also a rings i.e., space time is toroid shaped 2-D carve bending in a hyper dimension. If for one timeline, branches being created then it will interact with its neighbouring rings (multiverses) and vice versa . Thats means branches in timeline will cause one or many incursions. Similarly, branch in multiverse will also create incursions.

In my opinion, TVA regulates both timelines and universes as they pruned the 2012 loki version and female Loki as well also known as Sylvie.
HE WHO REMAINS also mentioned in the last season that the variants of Nathanial Richard started a war, so who are they exactly who are fighting against each other - COUNCIL OF KANGS but something different happened when all KANGS United against (MY GUESS IS) multiversal avengers which we will most probably see in SECRET WARS.

I think that kang has made the sacred timeline so that no kang can ever be formed like kang is born in the future ...but maybe the sacred timeline of each universe has been rigged to get destroyed before kang has chance of growing up and follows a cyclic path as we have seen ...and that's where the deviations come into play ... if any universe starts to deviate from the sacred timeline there is a chance that kang may be born and grow up in the timeline like butterfly effect so such timelines are pruned and each universes follow the 'sacred ' timeline

I think i very much agree with what badal said about TVA. My point on council of kangs is that, from what badal said, all of the universes have their own kangs who don't want deviations from their sacred timelines and avoid the creation of a version of them who causes problem.
Council of kangs is the council of these people. Like universe A has KangA, B has KangB, C has KangC and so on... Council of kangs is council which has KangA KangB KangC and so on Kangs unionising and collaborating or cooperating.
Aur jab unme se koi ek kang dagabaaz nikalta hai, maybe breaks a kind of a constitution (? I cant remember the word, its called _____ code, idk the blank), maybe breaks the rule of "yes we manage our universe's sacred timeline, maybe help each other too, but not try to take over and conquer timeline of a different Kang", like the kang fron quantumania, he gets banished.
And that also exactly explains why different versions if spidermen in NWH and ATSV existed, theyre different universes, and miguel also never referred to it as timelines, he refered to it as universe.

My take on Loki's time line and multiverse conflict is that
Time lines = New Universes ( After The War of Kangs )
1. As we know A/MCU when some one deviates from its fixed path they make a new universe with different destination
2. After when all the variants of Kang discovered about this they all desired to be in the control so started fighting with each other, the Kang who remained made the plan for the sacred time line for all the remaining universes (multiverse) so that he can not let another Kang starting the war again
3. He did not wanted to erase all the multiverse causing decillions of lives so he started pruning trillions of variants preventing the creation of another universe or the possibility of another Kang
4. when he who remained died, miss minutes left and they all came to know the truth TVA, it became less efficient in tracking these variants thus causing a expanding of multiverse ( the monitor when showed 616.0001 it meant that its a new universe formed due to a variants deeds )
5. Due to all these new universes new Kangs also started popping up creating the council of Kangs.

My Take on Multiverse & Timeline concept:
All universes are in one single line parallel to each other which looks like a single thread combined called sacred timeline where all variants exist. Now when any unwanted event occurs in any universe then a branch timeline gets created. Then TVA prunes it.
