Natural diamonds will have inclusions like carbon and feathering. That's what you want to look for 😊.

i never knew what a lab diamond was until i started searching for my wife's engagement ring last year. thankfully i did a lot of research and watched a lot of trax videos during the process lol. i ended up getting my wifes 1.26 D-VS2 princess cut center stone for around 50% less than what I would of had to pay for natural of the same specs. the halo and pave side stones on the setting are in the F-VS2 range. the total carat weight ended up being 1.59 and saved me close to $4-5k if I went natural. i've seen plenty of natural diamonds during my long search and i can only say that lab diamonds are absolutely gorgeous and in some cases better looking that naturals.

Lab diamond is gonna be a lot better most of the time. It's cleaner and a cutter can afford to lose more weight. So your cut is better as a result. The type of stone you pick is based on the color and how much fire you want. Diamond is moderately high fire and moderately consistent color. Other stones have more fire or different color. I recommend silver for cast pieces, gold for simple forged pieces but overall platinum and stainless are the best for daily wear (in my opinion). Those metals don't tarnish like gold, are scratch resistant, and durable. His shop provides good value in my opinion.
As a consumer its a good deal for the look. Now selling it back is probably a nightmare more than natural.

Lab diamonds over time will Def go down in value. And alot of jewelers promote them bc they are able to make a high profit margin at a lower cost for them
Id rather take a lower (but not SI) quality diamond pendant or tennis over a any lab set..i like to own assests that hold their value or gain value..lab diamonds are infinite..lab diamonds are beautiful and i rock them..but at the end of the day just stack up for some blood diamonds

Can you tell the difference between a lab and a nat?...i read somewhere that lab diamond are like too perfect..and the natural will have slight flaws..that nature produced, but im no pro..
I mean, I can tell with my naked eye sometimes and I have NO experience compared to what some other people are saying who claim to have 20+ years. According to those guys, only the high-end diamond tester machines can tell.
But you’re pretty much right. Synthetic diamonds shine a lot brighter, and with more colors and are sometimes too perfect. And will have artificial inclusions added to make them more closely resemble, natural diamonds.

What determines the karat price
One way to look at it
You spend $50k for a natural diamond bracelet. Resale probably $25k. You just lost $25k
But if you buy a lab diamond, youll probablt spend $15-20k
Lets just say resale is zero
If you really think about it, you lost less value with the lab from the getgo
If the lab actuallt has a resale value, you lose even lesser than the natural (if you are thinking about resale)
And throw the lab diamonds away because of the zero value? People don't do that buy some zerkonia instead.

@@Dancenyc222 it's closer to 30% for natural diamonds unless you're buying large, flawless stones or stones with rare colors, and even then you're taking more of a loss buying dirt diamonds because it's still cheaper to buy lab diamonds and literally throw them away when you're done wearing them than buying earth stones and reselling them, so it truly doesn't matter what the resale value of lab stones is.

If you buy lab diamonds you can buy moissanite instead. Both are lab grown, moissanite is hard and the colorless, or near colorless ones, are as beautiful as diamonds.
Huge difference lab diamonds are actually diamonds just grown in the lab moissanite is fake diamonds
I always told myself that natural is better and I would never by lab. But one day I bought lab diamond earrings for my wife and realized I got better quality diamonds for a far lesser price and at the end of the day it is still diamonds. Lab diamonds are the way to go unless you don’t like saving money.

To a lot of people it is. You want something to at least hold some value at the end of the day. He makes a great point of not finding matching diamonds so it won’t look as good. If it’s just one stone though might as well do natural.
If you are re selling diamonds you already made a huge financial mistake youll actually lose more on the natural but losing either way.
The resell value is not the question. The question is how much people are stupid enough to fall for the scam of buying diamonds?
