This theme more accurately describes the absolute hell that this world put me through. This was probably the largest difficulty spike in the game when I was younger.
Straight up nobody replying to this comment seems to understand what’s going on here. The music hasn’t been pitched down, it’s a flattening of some very specific notes (I.e. the third and the seventh). Most of the notes remain the same pitch as the original.
This is pure art. Most major to minor or vice versa always have unwanted dissonance, or occasionally incorrect chords due to certain notes being the same in major and minor keys, but this is truly spectacular. Well done!
It sounds almost like Mario going through an existential crisis as he gets near to his journey’s finish. Speaking of existentialism, Chapter 6’s Sammer Guy Kingdom from Super Paper Mario would be very cool to hear in either major or minor, the song is so great and has such a deep meaning to it when in context to the game.
