Does MAV tram/train line 1 rides to main rail station? Where does the line 1 MAV operate in the city of Szeged ? I like much this town and its transport.
The Tramtrain departs in front of the main station so it doesn't go into the station, but you can change there from railways to Tramtraim. The line 1 goes trough the city as a tram to Szeged-Rókus station, which is on the line 135 (Szeged-Békéscsaba). In Rókus the tramtrain also stops in front of the station-building. Rókus is the place, where tramtrains start their disel engines. The tramtrain connects to the line 135 after the station. After arriving to Hódmezővásárhely, the tramtrain lifts its pantograph again, and goes trough Hódmezővásárhely in "tram-mode". Fascinating way to connect cities huh? I hope I answered all your questions.
When did you visit the town? The Citylinks are around since the november of 2021. Next time you go to Szeged, I recommend the Anna-Kút tramstation where the line 1 and 2 crosses the line 3 and 4. You can find all the tram types there. And it's easy to reach. (We travelled there by tram, but if I remember well, there were some parking lots)
Becsüljük meg, hogy Szegeden még vannak normális villamosok!
