This is a really well made stat block. Dramatic Shift is my favorite feature; wonderful blend of flavor and mechanics. There are many magical artifacts that can easily possess a weak mind and the hold is so strong that even death cannot stop the host from serving its high ego based artifact. The Possessive Mask really should be treated like a high level artifact, much like the Hand or Eye of Vecna, which also erodes its host and decomposes them.

So i been looking to create an artifact that could be used as a ceremony item for a demi god that can only be on earth for a limited time, but only through the artifact and a willing cult member, who at death allowed their body to be used as a visage.. The downside to this artifact is it only works on the dead and is guarded from the undead because if a vampire or zombie or lich gets ahold of it without knowing what it is.. the demi gods personality will try to overwrite the unwilling victim.. the side effect would be like the chip from cyberpunk, except it does not fully overwrite an undead minds but is stuck with a dual personality, and in my story a vampire gets it and the demi god is mad every time the vampire tries to feed.. do you know of an artafact or something that may work this way?
