If you wanna see another long held note that will SHOCK you, react to Given Up by Linkin Park. 17 second long SCREAM. Legendary stuff, Taka was likely directly inspired from this moment in Linkin Park's career because their singer Chester Bennington was a hero of his and the main reason he has cited for deciding to join the band when their guitarist Toru wouldn't stop nagging him at his old job about joining.

i think the last time he performed this in like 2014 he held that note for like 10 seconds and blew everyone away. He really wanted to beat his old record 🤣 3x as long
and he became a much better vocalist too. If you check out older live performances, his voice was nowhere near this clear. I think he started looking after his health more, I think he stopped smoking and probably cut back on alcohol too. and possibly picked up more training, too.

You honestly need to check out Take What You Want first, that's OOR live lore 1.0. We Are is pretty important, too. Taka is sooo talented. They toured East Asia last and I THINK he got to 32 seconds then? That part used to be way shorter, the song's a bit older but definitely a staple. I love that he finds little things to make his songs unique all the time and that he's constantly trying to improve himself. I'll give them a few years and everyone will know them for sure. So excited to see. Cheers!
