Why is there so much confusion? British does not just mean English. England, Wales, and Scotland make up Great Britain. So someone born in Wales and Scotland is, technically, British. But they are not English. Hope that clears it up.

Techinically yes he is British because Scotland is part of the Great Britain. The Great Britain is composed by England, Scotland, Wales and (depending on who you ask) Nothern Ireland (which is diferent from Ireland). So he is Scottish AND British.
dark knight was an American movie and bruce wayne was played by an Australian the amazing spider man was an AMERICAN movie and peter parker was played by a british man and might I add kick-ass, the amazing spiderman, and especially the dark knight trilogies were best sellers
no i have nothing against british actors playing any movie characters but im just saying every major superhero is played by a foreigner. i love all the superhero british actors btw.
i was speaking about majority of the superhero movies, i dont even consider kickass to be a superhero movie, its almost comedic besides last time i checked kickass was an AMERICAN HOLLYWOOD movie so it doesnt matter who created it.
Ex.: Andrew Garfield (UK) was far closer to Spidey in the comic books than Tobey Maguire ever was; Christian Bale (UK) kicked George Clooney's ass as Batman; I can't even imagine who could play Magneto and Xavier better than Sir Ian Mckellen (UK)/Michael Fassbender (IRE) and Sir Patrick Stewart (UK)/James Mcavoy (UK).Not to mention,director and producers auditioned hundreds of american actors for Kick-Ass and the brit Aaron Johnson was the only one who nailed it.They're just better actors.
Nope. Since Kickass and Kickass 2 are considered Rated R action comedy. If this had been a Zack Snyder film he would have left both in (like he did with Watchmen). In the comic Heisenhower's death was the living trope "Kick the Dog" showing just how bad the villain was. The same for raping her. I think letting it have happened off screen would have been fine, but still in the story. The trick was the girl was nicer in the movie than the comic, like it really makes a difference. Oh well.
Yeah, because an american studio is paying for it that makes the whole thing american? Well, maybe they should create their own ideas then! And the reason a lot of foreigners are playing superheros is because THEY PROVED THEY ARE BETTER ACTORS! Do you really want a shitty actor just because he is american? I watch both british and american tv and movies, and most of british actors kick american actors asses.Of course not all of them, but the majority of them, yeah!
