Dot is an amazing tree for a dooryard. Real sweet mango flavor with some acid but no odd after tastes. The tree griws symmetrical has a long fruiting season as opposed to maturing all at once like thai mangos, and can be refrigerated and kept good for literally months. Very underated dooryard variety.
Now this is how you do mango tasting blind well done I wish others would do this as there can be a lot of unnoticed bias in mango tasting
I love Noahs reactions to the mangos and dad jokes
If I remember correctly, Dot is so named for Dorothy, not for being small like a dot.
Correct, named after Laurence Zills wife affectionately reffered to as Dotty.
Also it wasnt her favorite variety, lol. She prefered Beverly, which was named after a secretary of the family Nursery for several years
@@bryankc9644 🤪thanks for that info! Funny!
Enjoyed watching. Thanks
Aren't later season Duncans supposed to be better tasting?
She probably would love green hard mangoes 🥭
*Somebody looks like they are in the dentist waiting room, lol.*
Duncan is an ok mango...a little mild for my taste but that DOT might be one I need to get...
