  • The Hearts Of Bwindi: A Documentary Short presented by ‪@thatgorillabrand‬ in partnership with Uganda Wildlife Authority and The Gorilla Organization.
It is a poetic celebration of the remarkable biodiversity of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, and the tireless dedication of the people who unite to protect it.
Monday 31st July marks World Ranger Day, a global day of recognition for these brave, dedicated, and genuinely remarkable conservation lionhearts. To celebrate the tireless work they do for the protection of our earth’s animals, plants, and natural habitats, our TGB film crew stayed on in Uganda after our Adventures For A Cause challenge #6, the ultra marathon, to film the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (BINP) rangers as they go about their daily tasks, working tirelessly with an unfailing commitment to protect the mountain gorillas and preserve the neighbouring wildlife and surrounding environment. This film gives us just a glimpse of their passion, dedication, and allegiance to nature within the BINP.
Bwindi National Park is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site known for its exceptional biodiversity, with over 160 tree species, 100 fern species, diverse bird and butterfly populations, and is a sanctuary for endangered species like the mountain gorilla.
The Hearts of Bwindi develops its story by intertwining a visually stunning showcase of biodiversity, intimate character portraits of dedicated wildlife rangers, and the empowering role of local communities in conservation.
The documentary offers audiences a unique and captivating experience by spotlighting a conservation success story that celebrates the triumphs of national and community-led efforts in preserving the remarkable biodiversity of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
The Hearts of Bwindi was made possible by TGB Films in partnership with the Ugandan Wildlife Authority and The Gorilla Organization. TGB films is a subsidiary of That Gorilla Brand which supports the charity The Gorilla Organization through donations, fundraising and media to support the protection of biodiversity through community-led conservation in Uganda and the DRC.

These rangers and communities protecting the park and wildlife are heroes. Rich countries should step up 10 fold at least to support them.
