- In today's video I'll be showing you the full process of refunding digital PlayStation 5 games. Although Sony makes it difficult to refund digital PS5 games it is possible through their support website. Refund eligibility is determined by the PS Store cancellation and refund policy and by the customer service representative that assists you through the return. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL TOWARDS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE. If they do not give you a refund they are simply following their policy and doing their job. Being rude and disrespectful will not help. Even though I was able to get a refund in this video, you may not due to your refund request not meeting the policy requirements or other factors that are determined by the customer service rep. Yeah it's so fucking stupid. I just wasted $18 on the Evil Within 1 and 2 and I don't like the games at all honestly. I hate wasting money on games I don't like as I rarely get to buy games, I don't like pc or steam but I will give steam that their refund policy is really good. As much money as I and many others have given Playstation they can't afford to give people refunds every once in a while.

That’s how it is In General when you buy something online and it doesn’t fit your expectations in person or doesn’t show up etc but some you get tour refund back pretty quick others take 24hr or something 😭💯 . Otherwise if your reason isn’t reasonable enough yea they don’t care .

The whole main point of refunding a game is because you most likely didn’t enjoy the game and want your money back. But of course PlayStation thinks that people will spend $70 on a game and not try it out.

That’s why ppl need to do research or whatever so they’ll know better i bought Remnant 2 and downloaded and played some of it already but yea that game so freaking hard while playing Solo it’s mainly meant to be Multiplayer but I wanted to try it and eh it is a good game luckily i got Immortals of game coming in a few days I’m so excited to play and yes I did my research before I pre - ordered that game I’m positive i will love it I’m a solo types gamer person anyways .

So what happened to me when I tried to chat, is it kept telling me that it was busy & to try later. I kept trying over and over again, and I eventually went through and was able to chat with an agent! The refund came back within like.. 3 days? I hope it works for you!

I was following the guide, and it's clear BTW, when the bot tried to contact an agent, it took 40min and when the agent responded, I was just getting back to the room, she asked for my email and number, when I was typing them, only 1min have passed, she closed the chat..🙂, when I tried again the time has already passed, I'll try tomorrow in hope of a patient agent to help me out..Great vid tho..☃️

If it hasn't been fully installed on your console you should still be able to get a refund

If the game is not fully installed you can still refund it but if it is fully installed then sadly you can’t get a refund
all of this doesnt work on the weekends. the bot will redirect you for a person but they dont work weekends

It always depends on how many people are in the queue and how many support agents they have. I would try at a different time of the day and see if you are connected with someone

Are you giving your UserID/OnlineID or email address? Remember the sign in ID has to be your email not your username. I also did experience the same issue a few time during recording. If it won't let you past at all I would restart the chat with the bot.

Dude alright, so i had requested a refund because I accidentally purchased the gta ps5 edition instead of ps4 since i wanted to play with friends and I purchased Sekiro because i love the game. I requested a refund stating a toddler had made an error in buying sekiro and I was honest for gta 5. I explained that I did not intend to buy either though and I was able to get a full refund.

Meanwhile in steam, you can get an instant refund. Not literally (since you have to wait couple of weeks for your money) but
-you dont have to talk to an agent
-you can refund despite after playing the game
-you can refund even after downloading the game
-you can refund with no hussle.
This is why despite having ps5, I never really touch it except when I play some ps5 exclusives like last of us after I found out how rubbish their customer support when I wanted to refund an accidentally purchased game
