This dude gives a lot of insight into "all the intricacies" of screen printing. Very generous of him. You kinda know what you're up against and, thereby, are "able to anticipate" any problems or alleviate them...........because you still need to get past your "learning curve"..........., but with Catspit info, you can lower your "erroneous probability learning curve" by half, at least. I pray the Lord blesses this guy, because he blesses me and everyone else who benefit. Thanks again
@clovelr No problem, it’s my pleasure to help out. A scoop coater will work way better than a squeegee. You will be happy you bought it once you get used to it. Thanks for watching & commenting!
@yourworstfriend It may not be absolutely necessary to coat both sides of the screen but it is recommended. I coat both sides starting with the substrate side and ending with the inkwell side. I wouldn’t coat only one side unless you need a really thin stencil. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I'm just now getting into screen printing and am about to coat my FIRST screen tomorrow! Really glad I found you as you've posted some awesome videos. Thanks!

Hey, i was just doing some youtube surfing and came across your stencil videos. You seem very calm, educated, and passionate about what you do. Keep it up! :]
Thank you very much for your kind words. You are very welcome. I appreciate your support very much. Thanks for the awesome comment. Thanks for watching too! ☠
Oh I dunno maybe a 19 or 20 inch scoop coater. It should be wide enough to come within 1 or 2 inches from the frame edge. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠
@MrGrassys When working with unexposed screens and emulsion you should use a yellow or red safelight. But very subdued room light should be fine too. I also have a video about safelights that you can use for that purpose. Check out my channel page for the complete video collection. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠
@SemenDemon12 Nope, you reclaim the screen by using an emulsion remover and a pressure washer to remove the old stencil, clean the mesh and then later recoat it with emulsion. You can use the screen over many times before the mesh will wear out or become too loose to work with. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠
@TrailBlazersInc Honestly scoop coaters are less than 20 bucks. I don’t know of anything cheaper that will do the job nearly as well. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠
Depending on the size of your scoop coater you can coat top to bottom or side to side. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/

Something very unpleasant happened that spoiled several screens. The gutter ends, where the gutter cut ends, when applying to the canvas was scraping and scratching the polyester. Over time the polyester started to tear. It is the same model that you show in your vid
A decent make of the scoop coater will be even and smooth at the edges. You can try to sand it down possibly. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/
