What a musician U Srinivas was but left the world too early. The lotus feet piece is so soothing even after 40 yrs and full credit to John and Ustad Zakir.
The mandolin truly weeps. What mastery Srinivas shows. Such controlled playing. And such contrasting playing by John. Of all Lotus Feet albums of Shakti this is the outstanding one.
And many people think this kind of music is just virtuosity and musicians showing off and competing to prove who's better. No dude this is not a competition this is the pure singing of the universe
Trochę przekombinowane, ale w klimacie. Tego nagrania szukałem przez wiele lat i udało mi się zdobyć wersję z płyty z syntezatorowym brzmieniem. W latach 70 tych to był prawdziwy odjazd.

Thank you sir, have you seen Al di Meola's Rainbow Prism PRS? Many miss his Les Paul, but I think that beauty of a guitar fits his style much better. (I don't mean cosmetically)
He had that guitar made for travelling on airplanes after the restrictions brought in by the companies after 9/11. It's smaller and can fit in the overhead. Cheers
What Kind Effect is he using on this guitar, hear on the beggining Chords. In another vid I saw that it has two cables coming out of this guitar. Probably a Synth in Midi? The sound is wonderfull.
That was a custom synth guitar he had made which ran ProTools on the 12 inch Mac laptop there; not amp, not FX boxes; just the FX in the software and into the house desk

I've listened to so many different versions by John over the decades, and they're all so sweet and dreamy.
John is now 80 YO
The Mandolin makes music and we weep!! A true genius!! Left us too early. :( :(
I was there!!! I miss Uppalapu Shrinivas
I saw U shrinivas in Southampton university. He was truly amazing.
The other musicians were a revelation to me.
Srinivas is a Legend; that you Sri for the memories ❤😢
ABSOLUTELY MESMERIZING THE POWER OF FUSION
The guy with the little guitar was amazing
That's U Srinivas on Mandolin. A truly remarkable artist he was.
His nickname was "the Indian Mozart".
I guess it says it all.
And many people think this kind of music is just virtuosity and musicians showing off and competing to prove who's better. No dude this is not a competition this is the pure singing of the universe
Can't help feel emotional when I listen to this
Divine creation... 🥰🥰🥰
Fantastic. A divine spark has struck my soul. I whis I could tell the gentlemen in person. ❤🍀
Sri U.Srinivas adapted the song so wonderfully to the mandolin. The version of pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia's is beautiful in its own right.
McLaughlin is a true God on guitar! 🌞
I`ve listen to this version at least one time a day for at least a month now. It`s something special about it
I do the same with the Ponty version, and this one...
It’s like a conference among saints
Grand master! One of the greatest musicians in the world!

So what type of guitar is my favorite musician playing now?
It's a Mike Sabre guitar, John McLaughlin model.

What effects units do you think McLaughlin is using?
Sounds like a chorus, maybe.
He's using his MIDI guitar
@@lessevdoolbretsim and reverb as well
He died about 20 years ago
şaşırtmış bunlar😂😂
mammma feeels!!!!!!!!!
Not that good music to my ears. Soory fans. Average music. Was searching for lotus feet by steve vai in amsterdam live
Bruh
It's more complex than anything Steve vai would write
It's above Shawn Lane and Becker
and par with Friedman
LOL
