- I first met Gad 10 years ago at the Jerusalem Academy of Music, both of whom we studied in the Department of Arabic Music.
He always seemed to me a quiet and peaceful person, there was something desert about him. His playing, as if he were stopping in an oasis with his camel herd, takes out his oud and plays, at the pace of walking, at the rhythm of nature, sunset, sunrise, heart rate.
Over the years, Gad moved to Mitzpe Ramon, a town in southern Israel located in the heart of the desert.
You are warmly invited to press play, lean back, close your eyes and go for a walk in the desert.
love, Yogev
Very nice playing! I love the sound characteristics of ouds!
Listening from Brazil.
You play, play.... music is the best what You can do in life.
Yogev, i only now read your beautiful words.
Thank you for that.
Happy that we know each other, even if seeing only once in while.
This is absolutely incredible. I love the desert, the oud...this music. He is an amazing player. Wow.
Gad, I'd listen to you for hours straight!
Your sound is so clear and lucid, yet warming and comforting.
Thank you for what you bring within you to the world
Wow
WOW!
I’m working on learning the Oud right now (in the U.S.), largely by carefully watching and listening to Gad, as his beautiful style of playing is what I’m striving for. Where was this recorded, and what are the instruments in the background. Looks like some kind of saz as well as a set of flutes.
25 minutes of pure joy! 🌻👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
