The speaking fluent English in a near native-sounding accent while still having obvious hints of an Asian language accent is something I haven't encountered since Dana ASMR.
She’s the most artistic vibey ASMRtist out there! She has this mixture of vintage and artsy vibe to her and her videography! You’re really Cool in my eyes ^^
1) Learn the basics to communicate on simple topics 2) Listen to things you like in the target language over and over again 3) take notes of the new words you want to remember and say them out loud in context
Languages I speak: English- born and raised in Canada Korean- lived and worked there for a couple of years and dedicated many hours of study to it. Tagalog- learning from my wife and my parents, I understand it well but was never confident in it until now Japanese- currently learning. Thanks to shared grammar structure and shared vocab between it and Korean, it’s been a fun time. Whenever my wife and I travel, we make it a goal to try and speak as much of the language as we can. We also practice Tagalog and Korean at home to solidify our learning.
@@Basicvitaminb12 Well, you are amazing! (No sarcasm.) What are your mother tongue languages? I only speak English, and I hear English is very hard to learn, so if you can learn English, I reason you can learn Japanese. Chinese/Mandarin is very tonal, so I think it’s harder in a sense. They say Japanese and English are among the hardest languages to learn, but in my opinion it depends on the person. I am not great at retaining new information, and I have been learning about 2 months, I know 2 of the three Japanese “alphabets” and my vocabulary is growing, but I also feel like the more I learn, the less I know. They say that once you learn how to learn a language, it’s much easier to keep learning new ones, because you learn a format, and your brain takes it more seriously. I think age is also a factor, but that may just be excuses (on my part.) All in all, if you learned English, and your brain already knows 3 languages and how to think in 3 languages, I think you’ll find it easier than me at least! It’s a fun language to learn though!
I am happy to hear your ASMR today also before sleeping! Ear cleaning part is good for me, both the tool and your hands touching! Your voice also! Japanese part also! 😄 Gombangwa~
09:18 same! But, sadly I already getting too deep with American English and its accent so I kinda lazy to learn UK English since the difference only a few here and there😂
It’s interesting to see what other countries think is the American accent because of how many different kinds there are. For example you specifically had a more southern accent whilst lots of other countries have more of a Californian, Bay Area accent. Nobody speaks in my accent tho sadly 😢 since I’m from the midwest
thank you for reconciling me with scratching, it's something that I really don't usually like but the gentleness with which you made it was really pleasant. I speak French (native language) English and I m currently learning Japanese. For learning I'm creating a bubble in which I hear the language daily, music series etc., for Japanese it's a bit different because I decided to go there directly. Currently starting my second month in Japan.
So there's typical Japanese ASMR and then there's this. Outstanding atmosphere, very natural and sincere vibe, clear and melodic voice both Japanese and English. A unique gem, I love it. Though, would be great to see some 3DIO ear licking action too!
I have learnt English by myself just by watching and listening English content, nothing special, without putting any efforts into studying it, I think the best way you can really learn and remember new language is just make it around you some time of a day 🤔 Have a nice day, Harrissa
I studied some languages formally in school and by using mobile applications. I will use a dictionary to look up words that I see or hear if I can make them out. I love your videos!
Spanish is my first language, but it's pretty basic and just enough to speak with my family. I am much more fluent in English, which I learned once I started school.
I like your english accent! It's familiar to me .. I'm a big fan of football(Chelsea FC) and music(Britpop, Rock) in British culture. However, someone from Liverpool or Birmingham? pronunciation is more often than not unintelligible because I'm Korean, not British .. But your English is always spoken at a smooth and friendly pace, so I can easily understand what you're talking about. :) It's comfortable to listen to and I appreciate it.
Whenever someone with a very thick Liverpudlian accent posts a video of themselves speaking, there are always some comments saying they can't understand them, even if they're native English speakers. Don't let it affect your confidence :)
I'm fluent in Latvian, Russian and English. I'd say it's pretty common to know at least two languages where i live. Advice I give to my friends for getting better at English is - always use software in English, try to always watch videos in English only or with subtitles, and to be able to talk - you have to talk to actual people (games are a great for this).
7:10... I love your hair, it should be so, so, soft! It's perfect like u and your ASMR videos, só relaxing for my, and most important thing! Utada Hikaru has flawless English and is a dual native language speaker. Not ASMR though. Her interviews when she code switches are insane.
I miss dana
As an Australian, i can hear a lot of the british and aussie influences in your speech, it feels like home in a funny way 😄
As an American, her vowels sound very Australian. It's a weird mix, but very nice sounding.
@@riggsmarkham922 As a British, it sounded British for two seconds lol but then immediately heard Austrailian.
kiwi here, the aussie is strong in this one
English speaking Aussie accent Japanese sounds like a chaotic character trait 😂

Your voice is my favourite asmr trigger.
Harissa the mic triggers are super amazing, it feels like my head is the mic, it's super tingly.
British and Australian in your speech, beautiful combination.. the best combination :D
Every time I watch your videos, I feel like a baby being put to sleep. Your whispering has a very soothing quality to it.

I think it's lovely that you're accent is leading more towards a region neutral British accent, it's not quite Modern RP but it's getting there.
