Additional details on the Martin D28 Marquis:
Made from 2004-2016. 2004-2012 models had Fossilized Ivory nuts and saddles, 2013-2016 bone nuts and saddles, 2012-2016 incorporated a Delmar Tortoise pick guard. All years made with Red Spruce (Adirondack) tops and Indian Rosewood back and sides, all incorporated forward shifted Golden Era scalloped bracing (scallop starts right at the X unlike the Vintage series such as HD28V and D18V which has the scallop starting 1-1/2" from the X). The D18 Golden Era also incorporated the same Golden Era forward shifted scalloped bracing. All years had a 1-3/4" nut width with a 37' inspired modified V neck profile with 2-5/16" bridge string spacing, all years had diamond and squares fret board marker inlays, All years had adjustable neck truss rods, All years had long glued in through saddles unlike the Vintage series which had the long drop in saddles. All years were constructed with Tite Bond glue. The D28 Marquis was the inspiration for Martin to develop a closer representation of a1937 D28 which resulted in the introduction of the Authentic series. The Authentic series used a neck T-bar non adjustable rod for reinforcement, Hide Glue construction through out, more aggressive scalloped forward shifted bracing on the 37 D28 Authentics with the scalloping starting again at the X, and a more thicker bulkier V neck profile. All other appointments and construction was the same as the D28 Marquis 2004-2012.

I do agree about slotted pins, lefty cases are dumb as are lefty guitars and I am a lefty too.
I thought that you were going to talk about mandolins...thank God I was mistaken.
