Wow! I have a 21 Pan America Special, but I was riding the DR650 during a dual sport event in western VA and nailed a deer, it happened so fast! I saw it pop out from the side and it hit my front wheel. All I remember was was a quick Oh Sh1t! and a loud bang as I hit the pavement, I slid for about 5 yards. I knew my shoulder was messed up, but got up to count my bones. Some guys came by on big bikes and helped me out and got the bike off the road, I figured I was too hurt to ride anymore and took an ambulance to the hospital, so six fractured ribs and scapula, with a lacerated spleen, I was out of the hospital after 3 days, The Suzuki has some road rash on it, but it's an off road bike and still very ridable. The deer didn't make it either.
