  • Mountain biking the Badlands and Window Rock trails: Tucson Arizona; Sonoran desert
The Badlands and Window Rock Trails are outside of Tucson near Catalina. Start from the end of Edwin (Rail X ranch) road. A few short clips show taking the Honeybee connector and the Badlands trails. More video shows the old granite formations visible from Window Rock trail. Trailforks helps you stay on/find the trails in some places. Edwin road requires a high clearance vehicle. State Trust land requires a permit which can be obtained online.

Great video. I have done Honeybee before, but never the Badlands. I will need to check this part out in the future! Careful with the GoPro 8, if you fall and crack the lens, they are hard to replace. It can be done, I had to do it. The newer GoPros lens can easily be replaced. Good luck with your journey to 1k subscribers. I have added one to your count.

I think that this trail is my favorite low desert ride. Thanks for the Hero 8 tip. I've taken some good tumbles, but so far, the camera has survived! I'm glad I was able to show a ride you haven't done yet. Thanks for the sub! I'll check out your channel. Take care.

@@weekenddistractions If you want to watch my camera get broken during a crash, here is the ride that I did it on. ruclips.net/video/-BwkVZWG-XI/видео.html I was able to fix it, but needed a heat cun to take the lens off. I have had some tough luck on rides. I had a ride also where my 360 camera mount broke and it went crashing down. Fortunately it was just lens covers that broke on that one, so easy to replace. It is a risk of using cameras during MTB rides. Keep up the great work and videos!

@@RowansAdventures Nice wash out! That happens to me too many times, but I've been lucky to have the camera survive. Looked like a great ride! Cheers :)
