I know that's all they are worth monetarily but surely his memory and the medals as a representation of his service are worth far more sentimentally. Boggles the mind why people do this and devalues loved ones sacrifices for the price of the weekly shop. Not only did her uncle take part in the Battle of the Atlantic he also saw service in North Africa and Italy.
UK commission these days is 20% for the seller and 20% for the buyer plus VAT!! It's a real con, the auction house takes nearly half of the sale value!!
