Nice video. Not a criticism, I enjoy your insights. I tend to think prices could go higher if BTC rockets. But understand the logic for sandbagging estimates. My opinion is BTC breaks 100k, perhaps reaches 140k ATH, if conditions are right. But broader forces are at play now. We’re moving into really unknown territory. And these entities are shrewd. I think there’s massive manipulation ahead. If BTC survives that, well, we’re likely in for a good windfall. But it won’t be smooth sailing getting there. Stay strong...

abuzz about how the beginning of 2024 and the bitcoin halving was going to be the start of the "Bull Run". Well we had a little blip but mostly just "Bull Shit".
IMO they are trying to get the sheep out of the stock market and into crypto before they pull the rug out from under it as it has been propped up by the fed for years. Hence the crypto price suppression gymnastics by suing Coinbase to give the sheep a lower entry point along with the new crypto ETF's while at the same time telling them to use it. So those of use who have done our homework and invested accordingly get screwed as usual while the sheep get coddled. Again just my opinion as it all seems to be controlled anyway.

I wasn't surprised at the fed holding rates and I don't think many people were tbh. It's only one data point, inflation is stubborn at its current level, job market still hot despite one data point of lower than expected job growth. But the overall trend is still too hot. They won't cut rates until they get more data that everything is cooling down more.
And if I had to guess now I think the next meeting they hold rates steady again. But of course a lot can change between now and then.

If JP is going to maintain current levels of interest rate and is aware that the debt repayments are going to be massive, is it possible that he expects a major market crash is going to happen late next year or the year after? The past 16 years is a huge bubble in economic terms and history has repeatedly shown that this is unsustainable. Could we be looking at the last opportunity to build a decent lifestyle for yourself to be able to sustain your surroundings when everyone else is falling apart? Just my pennies worth.....

They are chasing their tail. They need to lower interest rates to refinance the debt. Lowering interest rates increases spending which drives inflation up. Then they have to hike rates again to slow inflation. Around and around ya go in till the thing wobbles to hard in one direction. Is that about right?

He basically saying the process of cutting rates will be slow which is realistic... but then he said its not a plan.???
When the US economy is at inflection points it makes sense that mixed economic signals will occur. When signals are mixed, it makes sense to do nothing. If the fed lowered interest rates now, it risks overheating the economy again, and undoing everything they've done over the last couple of years , having inflation explode again, and having to start over. And by doing nothing until the signals become clear, it risks driving the US economy into a recession, but at least it has ammunition to combat that in the form of rapid interest rate cuts, resulting in a short and shallow recession, which would be far better than a re-explosion of inflation at a time when interest rates are already relatively high. Patience now is warranted, and completely understandable to me. We might not even get a continuation of the bull market this year at all...we could simply trade in the same range we have been in for months already(BTC 56K-73K). I think of it this way ... everyone agrees that 2020/2021 was a "black swan" event....not everyone agrees (or understands) that that "black swan" event is NOT over. The effects are still being felt, and may continue to be felt for months (perhaps many months) longer. I am content to DCA through the sideways movement - and especially through what might well become a short bear market until the economic signals become clear to the Fed that the rates have been too high, for too long, a recession has begun, and panic rate-cuts occur to try to stave it off. 2025? 2026? 2027? No one knows. What we DO know is that - eventually - rate cuts will come. But whether those rate cuts happen calmly and gradually or in a panic all at once is unknown. Right?

What would happen to inflation if we got rid of all the government regulators? Meaning the "Green new Deal" worshipers. Where would inflation be? You need to think about it. We have always had monetary debasement at about 2% to 4% a year. What cause the spike in the last 3 years. When you can answer that question for yourself, you will understand the FED needs to go and a new monetary system adopted.

This feels like analysis paralysis to me. Remember the Fed is not elected and currently not controlled. The closer we get to the Presidential election, the tighter the grip the paralysis will have. They'll cut rates over the next 1-3 months I think due to unemployment rate and jobless claims increasing. Powell even said they are watching the labour market and will make decisions as new data comes in, it'll be this that makes them cut much sooner than what they're currently saying

Basically the Fed never seems to have a clue. They just follow what the market is saying about short term rates. In that regard, short dates treasury notes like the three year are starting to indicate rates will head down.
