Why did they always look like they were throwing the shots when they shot their six guns, I saw that in a lot of the westerns made in the '30s? very good movie for its time. (Mississippi Gulf Coast).

Single action revolvers had to have the hammer cocked before firing. Raising the barrel made that easier to do.

In this excellent Tim McCoy western he shoots several bad guys in the back. Today with the anti-cop movement of the Dumbo-Crats he'd probably be arrested for doing that. My motto has always been, "If you do the crime, you must do the time!" StocktonRob
