Beautiful van that and top quality. If they did a rear lounge layout we'd have had one but very happy with our Rapido 854f.Love the sliding hinged wardrobe door.
Liked the vid We have had ours 12 months and pleased with it . Just a note re the Sat Nav and £80/ year . We went to Camos Uk at Peterborough who by the way were excellent. They installed a better reversing camera screen in place of the rear view mirror, so we now have a live view of traffic behind, whilst driving and the image is in the normal place . They also fitted Another 12v supply connector to allow us to install a Camper Sat Nav in place of the old reversing camera screen. And using the on dash mounting bracket ( left in Place ) I got adapter brackets from eBay and Garmin Camper795 . Can’t remember the cost but it was very reasonable and the system is now much better . Can’t say the Garmin is that good and now wish I had the Tom Tom Hope you enjoy the MH as much as we do. It was well worth the 17months wait.. Cheers Paul
Quick update for everyone… We’ve had the van for three months now, spent ten nights away and covered over 1000 miles, and we are absolutely blown away with it…. There have been a couple very minor niggles which we are dealing with. Slight wind whistle over 60mph from the panoramic sunroof, i worked out which clips needed tightening by putting some small pieces of thin cardboard in the clips to test, and then sticking some black felt in there as a more permanent solution. Also had a couple of trim squeaks overheard whilst driving, resolved by testing as before and now enjoying a squeak and whistle free drive. Spent a weekend in York with outside temps of -4. And we were toasty inside. Absolutely love the Alde heating
Great, glad your enjoying it, i read a couple a years ago about the whistle on the roof light, thought they had sorted that now. Look forward to seeing some vids when you get around to it .
Hi Jamie, thanks for the comment. When I washed the van and sprayed water on the roof it was very clear that an area was missed as the water beading was completely different.
@@matty4906 Hi Matty…. Thanks for the comment. Yes to the C1 as its over 3500Kg, I have grandfather rights on the licence, when i passed my test (1981) you got C1 automatically
@@chris170164 thank you for the reply. Ahh I see, that’s handy for you! It’s strange because some of the adverts for them mention that they can be driven on a standard licence. The hunt for a perfect motorhome will continue 😄 Happy travels 👍🏼
Enjoyed the van tour. Looking at an Autotrail Scout on a 23 plate but have always liked the Adrias. Worried about the different forums complaining about build quality issues with Autotrail. Is the a huge difference between the Autotrail and Adria?
Hi Robb, thanks for your comment… We had an Autotrail van conversion before and never had a single complaint with build quality, from various Facebook Forums I think you would see adverse comments about every manufacturer, even the biggest budget Motorhomes. We chose the Adria over other manufacturers because we liked the quality of the fixtures, the curved wood surfaces rather than straight cut panels for example. The icing on the cake is proving to be the Alde heating, I wouldn’t ever consider going back to a blown air system.
Another question for you Chris if ok…how do you find the bed layout. Do you hit your head on the cabinets above and are you able sit up properly and watch tv and have a cuppa?
Hi Rob…. We love the bed layout but yes we have banged our heads a couple of times. We haven’t set up as TV in the bedroom so sitting in bed with a cuppa hasn’t been a concern
Hi James……. We are really pleased with it, only a couple of small niggles……. A squeak from the roof area when driving but i think i have sorted this out. Two of the orange lights on the side of the van have failed, one was replaced last month by Brownhills, another failed last week and will get replaced next time it’s in the garage. Final niggle was the central locking on the Habitation door which was less reliable than expected, again Brownhills seem to have sorted this. All in all we are very happy with Adria, and the Alde heating was an absolute game changer in winter. I am sure you will be delighted with yours too.
@@chris170164 great to hear . cheers Chris. picking up from there Thursday and looking forward to it after almost a year since ordering . Keep up the videos, ive been liking them on another profile i use which is add free. Hope you and Sara get back to Norway soon, hopefully we will be off there next year, a few other trips before then.
Cheers for posting , we pick ours up in 4 months . I was surprised to see the window has been removed just behind the drivers door and between the habitation door . Is it a 2023 model ? It looks brand new . Enjoy your new van , looks great 👍
Hi James. I think the window you referring to is on the DL, that model still has it but the seating layout is slightly different. You will absolutely love yours, we certainly do. It is a new van, picked it up beginning of September. Wishing you some fabulous trips
Thanks for that, we are buying the DL so cheers for clarifying, we like the idea of the side window and been trying to suss it out why some didnt have them. Funny cant believe we are buying a vehicle without ever being in One but after three years of research on our ideal retirement motorhome and having motorhomes for 15 years , we are confident that the Adria is right, looking forward to the Alde heating for ski trips ect . One last question if you dont mind, Im told it has Mud and Snow tyres , is this correct ? cheers James @@chris170164
Hi James. Well ours didn’t come with Mud & Snow tyres, they are dedicated motorhome tyres from Michelin. The build quality and insulation is excellent, the Alde heating is a revelation and will make winter trips massively more comfortable. We did buy a second 10Kg safe fill bottle which fits nicely in the gas locker too
@@chris170164 cheers Chris, just looking at some of your other RUclips vids, seems that you have been to may places like us such as, the Outer Hebrides , Mull, Skye ect , we also are going to an Adria from an Autosleepers similar size to your Autotrail. We've loved the accessibility of a van conversion but need something bigger for when we retire for longer trips away. With regards to the tyres, Brownhills did say they were mud and snow but if not ill have to look at changing them for the Alps in winter. Yes the refillable are ace, i have used GASIT ones with auto change over for approx 12 years and saved a fortune. I believe i can get Two 11kg which i will be doing. Ill take a look at your over adventures over the next few weeks. Thanks again.
Maybe we will meet on our travels someday. Next year we are heading back to Norway for all of June, aiming for the Lofoten Islands and then back down the coast. Should get away for a week between Christmas and new year, maybe the Highlands. Not sure about Easter yet, probably Scotland again as there is so much to explore. Looks like our retirement plans are very similar, I’m just not sure wether it will be 2025 or 2026 for me
