Thanks! For the most part I just imagine the overall sound of a track in my head and I have an idea of what I want each part to sound like (of course including melody). That said, I'd say the order of prominence for each part I imagine varies. For example sometimes the melody comes to me first, and other times the underpinning sound I build the melody atop of is. Heck, sometimes I'll just pull up a DAW and start fiddling with sounds until I hear one and a corresponding melody/foundation with it pops into my mind to get started with. In the case of this track which has some interweaving melodic parts between the instruments, I initially made the base Wah Guitar part and then built out the additional layers as I went along one by one. I find going by ear to be the most creatively liberating for me. Hopefully this isn't too long-winded of an answer, I enjoy talking about the mechanics of the creative process 😄
@@Brainxiety Sure thing! Been involved with music my whole life, so I can def say the more you make the more natural it becomes, especially with making sure notes are in key for melodies. Keep at it 😁
Please avoid leaving spoilers. I don't want the pivotal moment to be squandered.

@@PseudSapien Thanks!
I usually freestyle my melodies which can lead to them sounding bad,so Im glad that I have something new to try out.
