A quick video showing you how to program your new scanner for railfanning!
Enjoy!
Great video! I'm more into aviation scanning but I love listening to the trains too. I don't know if you knew this but if you click the FUNC button then click the SRCH button then you can click every number and only make bank 5 scan which is all the standard aar channels.
I loved my scanner, lost it when I moved to dis place, I had one a lot like that, I heard a lot of companies are going to using a more private network so scanners can't tune in
It wouldn't surprise me, sadly.
@@ravenhawk6910 yeah i hope most companies aren't in any hurry to
Question: when I'm on scan, the 8 bank and the 1 bank are gone. The 2 flashes a little bit but all my frequencies are on bank 1 and I don't hear anything. What issue could that be?
If you were in a spot where you have 2 railroads with 2 mainlines close together, a few miles apart, could you have it so the scanner scans both/multiple channels at the same time?
How I love to program my scanners for railroads, is to program all channels to aar channels. For example, channel 79 is CN railroad, it is also, aar channel 79. That way, if I pick up talk on channel 51, I can look up in my area to see who uses aar channel 51.
I tried to put the MARC Penn line frequency but I can’t find it
is there any cheep scanners you suggest
I don’t have a scanner!
Personal problem!
Then why are you watching this!?
