    I’ve played this itemized radiant build with a bunch of different classes and I think my favorite was 6 open hand monk for the radiant on unarmed strikes and 6 light cleric, monk weapons like the light hammer that does a d4 of radiant in act 1 uses dex for rolls. Extra attack and stunning strikes as extra conditions and stacking more orbs/reverb. No smite on this idea so that’s the trade off. Keep the videos coming man I’m loving the content

    Act 1 Phalar Aluve : Shriek adds a condition in a large radius triggering radiant orbs. Also act 1 using the adamantine shield causes any who miss the player to get the condition reeling causing even more orbs and reverberation. Intentionally running by mobs to cause opportunity attacks and misses is great fun. Causes orb and reverb explosions all around.

    Phalar Aluve has awesome synergy with this too and you can get it at the same time you get the Luminous Armor, although that would work better if you flipped the build and went cleric first and Paladin later. It's more of a buff to Spirit Guardians than anything.

    If you want this character to be party face, you can do so. Drop str to 8 use elixir of giant str Go for 16 dex that helps with initiative at early lvl's after that when you take Alert. you can left dex at 14 And add to charisma. As you have guidance, it will help, also take bard in the party, with lvl 2 spell ability impv that gives advantage, guidance and bardic inspiration this character can be party face easily.
    At character creation stats will be: Str 8, Dex 16, Con 14, Int 8, Wis 17 , Cha 10. 17 Wis because as this is party face you will get Aunty hair to +1 in Wis, So later when you take ability improvement feat it will be 20 instead of 18.

    In the current honor mode run I am doing with my friends I am doing a build around these items except I'm going valor bard. Hardly the most optimized choice I know but I like the idea of a Pseudo paladin Bard.

    • @wayfaringnomad
      @wayfaringnomad  Месяц назад

      Even in honor mode being optimized isn't required. So many other factors make this game a "play as a you want" experience.

    I have yet to find a game that scratched the Paladin itch better that Skyrim did. Such a holy power trip.
    Sword that makes undead blow up and catch fire. Shield used by a God that can store hits and fling people around. So many damage multipliers against undead. Near magic immunity with a dip in alteration, Breton racial bonus, standing stone, and quest rewards. Holy spells that look and feel amazing and are shiny enough that you can hardly even see your character. So many healing spells and buffs that it’s hard to fall to half health. And like 70% of the enemies in the game being some form of undead. *incredible*
    Skyrim spoiled me and because of that, I feel like Baldurs gate paladins just fall way short to me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Unpopular opinion: Paladin is not a good class in bg3. All you do is divine smite and the class is useless without the spellslots to feed it from multiclassing. If you have to take 2 lvls of Paladin and 10 Bard or a majority 7 lvls of something else then that says it all right there.

    • @dreambiscuits
      @dreambiscuits Месяц назад +2

      Same goes for rogue and a few others. The game pushes for multiclassing tbh

    • @oblyx1828
      @oblyx1828 Месяц назад +1

      That depends on what your definition of a "good class" is also you don't need to multiclass with any classes in this game you can take mono class into anything and you'll be fine even in honour mode as long as you know what you are doing sure some multiclasses will be better than some mono classes but in my opinion and from my experiences paladin is a very strong frontliner they are very tanky and they hit hard from the get-go it is impossible to match their damage burst until you get to act 3 but even then to match their burst you need over the top multiclasses also their spellslots are fine without multiclassing it might feel a bit slow at the early game but that's fair considering how hard they hit with thoose smites
