Jenny I genuinely feel you're the best German teacher..I love your videos. Thank you very much for putting up all these videos for free..This is really a valuable material. It helped us a lot.. Keep up the good work😊
One of the things i love in german is that you use present instead of the future, like in french. One common thing with my language that is great, actually it is eases the learning process
Thanks Jenny ! Since i am in germany I started learning from your video and now I feel that I became a huge fan of you and your channel. This is really a inspiring journey within 4 years. I am following ur channel since 2 year now it became like a best friend for me. Its my wish to meet and say thanks personally. Thanks and all the best for your future journey Jenny 🙂
Großartig und wunderbar! Diese Satzstrukturen sind sehr sehr wichtig. Plötzlich nach vielen Monaten macht alles Sinn. Jenny has the magic wand!! Vielen dank 🙂
Hi Jenny, happy New Year I wish you prosperity, health and all things that are important for your life. Thank you for all your effort in this page, God bless.
Wow, great video, learning with sentences has been the easiest way to learn for me. It’s like grammar becomes easier and intuitive. Even when structures change dramatically from one language to another
I speak 4 languages and german is one of the most hardest lags I have ever seen.I'm living here since 8 months and I'm lucky I can talk English because most of people here do.
bro, I feel you. My first languages are French and English. I also learned some Spanish from my father. Then I learned Italian from my ex-husband. Afterwards, I learned Chinese (Mandarin), and I thought that it was the toughest language ever. I couldn't understand how any native Chinese speakers could learn English or French, I gained even more respect for people who start life in a foreign land. Now that I am learning Deutsch, Chinese seems like a breeze. German is so fascinating, but so difficult. Germans impress me even more now.
This is great. Just recently I thought to myself that it would be great if you covered it. And you did just that! :) Thanks! One question: I understood from this video that "dass" is used in affirmative sentences and questions, while "ob" is used in negatiations?
+Petur Valdemarsson You can also use "dass" in negations. Ich habe gehört, dass er gestern nicht zur Besprechung gekommen ist. "ob" is used when there are 2 options: yes or no. ER weiß noch nicht, ob er morgen mitkommen. (He might come or he might not come.)
Hi Jenny, in your example with the modal verbs I noticed that the verb was pushed to the end but you did not write muss in its infinitive form, why is that? I know it is different when the tense of the verb changes but I think it was present tense. Thank you Jenny, I really appreciate all your hard work.
Hallo Jenny :) du hast diese Lektion zweimal in der Playlist "German vocab and useful phrases" (Nummer 72-73) hinzugefügt :) Danke für deine Lektionen!
+German with Jenny Ich werde Ihnen bald Bescheid, wenn es möglich ist, wir arrangieren Zeit für Skype. Ich freue mich auf unsere bald Unterricht. Danke für alles. Freundliche Grüße Von USA
I love my mother language which is Greek. Because you can mix the sentence you can change the order. You can do whatever you want. It will still make se sense. It will still be correct.
"Ich bin sauer auf ihn, weil er mich angelogen hat." It looks like auf is being used in the accusative case. Is there a movement in the sentence that makes the preposition auf in the accusative instead of the dative case?
there is no movement but we are using the adjective + preposition combo "sauer sein + auf" or "wütend sein + auf" which requires the Accusative Case (something you will have to memorize)
thanks alot for beautiful explaining but give us a one more favour if you can please attach the link below here worksheets 😊😊😊 I will be very greatfull to you goodnight may God bless you
+German with Jenny thanks alot actually I have visited your web.nd there was to many exercises which make me a little confuse 😁😁 but i really appreciate your work explained from bottom roots to basics ,,NETTE LEHRERIN '' 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hi Jenny, What if the sentence is - I like Jenny because she is smart and explains lessons easily. Do we still put the V at the end. I got confused because it is connected by "and". I hope you understand my question. Es ist schwierig zu erklären 😂 Vielen Dank
both of them. But the helping verb is at the very end. Er hat mir gesagt, dass er einen Schlüssel gefunden hat. (gefunden - second to last; hat - last)
Hallo Jenny! a little bit of confusion here: "weil" means --> because; "dass"---> that und "ob"---> whether. but from your example: "Ich weiss nicht, ob ich morgen zur Besprechung kommen muss." --->> I don't know whether I have to come to the meeting tomorrow. but, I can also say "Ich weiss nicht, dass ich morgen zur Besprechung kommen muss."--->> I don't know, that I must have to come to the meeting tomorrow???. Sonst noch etwas?? vielen Dank im voraus! :)
Eine Frage... At 2:00 when you say Ich weiß nicht, ob er morgen zum Training kommt. Should morgen in this sentence not be capitalized? My literary skills are not too great, so if morgen in this sentence isn't a noun I assume it is some kind of grammar thing I just don't know the name of.
Hi Chris, no, because "morgen" is an adverb of time here and it means tomorrow. Not to be confused with "der Morgen" which means the morning. i.e. Am Morgen gehen wir schwimmen - In the morning we are going swimming.
Dieser video ist sehr hilfreich, aber ich einen fragen habe. Warum hast du "mir" in der satz auf @05:27 gebenutzen? Kann der Satz "ich bin nicht sicher" sein?
Hi, what if I wanted to say "I think you can't smoke in the non-smoking room"? Where should I place the "nicht"? Is it: "Ich glaube, dass du in das Nichtraucherzimmer rauchen nicht kannst"?
Hello madam!!! How are you? thank you very much for your reply. I’m kuma from Sri Lanka. This time I gonna sit for the G.C.E(A/L){one of higher education examinations of Sri Lanka}.so I need to know that how can I write German letters for friends( tell me German informal letter method) Thanks Kuma

Weil ich es ihm zuerst sagen muss. i understand every part of the sentence except the 'es' between 'ich' and 'ihm' . i know it means 'because i have to tell him first. so what is the 'es = it doing there. Hoping to hear from you soon. thanks in advance
Amazing video as always! I'm doing some exercises now and I'm having some troubles differentiating when to use "dass" and when to use "ob" though. Could you give a brief explanation? ^^
Ob is like whether in English. There are two possible answers: yes or no Ich weiß nicht, ob er zu Hause ist. (2 options he is either at home or he isn't) Ich weiß, dass er zu Hause ist. (I know for a fact that he is at home.)
Apparently I'm 7 years behind but . . I just started German. The helping verb at the end thing . . . that's going to take a while to assimilate, lol! bueno, poco a poco . . .

this is what takes your german to the next level. One of the parts of Grammar that is ESSENTIAL to cover!
One of the things i love in german is that you use present instead of the future, like in french. One common thing with my language that is great, actually it is eases the learning process

You make my life easier every day.... I really appreciate your work!
The problem with German people is that they speak German very fast, you will need a lot of time to be able to get with their fast speaking
This is my problem with the english people:D
@@Christian-qp6mo -_-
It's a "problem" with any native speaker when observed by any non-native who is trying to learn their language 😅
Yes it's true..even to hear them not easy
Same with all foreign languages init

Moving all the verb(s) to end of the clause is also known as transposed word order in some German Textbook.

And if theres separate verb followed with modal verb in the subordinate phrase?
End verbs are a well known feature of German, so I don't know how this is not understood . Note that English can also do the same thing.
vielen dank das war gut
