  • I decide to add heatsink to some of the components on my Elekit TU-8500. By default, most of the components on the Elekit TU-8500 do not have (and do not need) any heatsink. This because based on the specification, they should be fine to work without any heatsink as the working temperature is still within threshold. But I realize when I use E80CC tubes which has double of the filament current, some of the diodes are significantly hotter (10-15 degree Celcius). So this video will show how do I add heatsink on it.
    Enjoy!

    Hi, there are some articles for the 8500 Phono upgrade, C11, C12, C15, C16, IC1 & IC2 part.
If I just use the line-in section, should just upgrade C15 & C16 caps? Any other parts need to be upgrade? thanks.

Yes I believe C15 and C16 are sufficient. Thanks.

Thanks for your videos ! How would say the TU-8500 compared to the TU-8550 ? I am considering the two options. The phono stage is not necessarily key.

I havent completed the build of TU-8550. But from the schematic, TU-8550 should be better. Thanks.
