My wife and I have visited Rodman Dam several times. Can't say I had my fishing gear with us but I planned on coming back. We come down from New York during the winter but I have to leave my boat at home. Great place and very clean.
Sure would like to know the name of that beautiful piece of music when you first get out on the water. Transcendental. Love you both and Bing Bing. You are an inspiration. I live about 40 miles south of you and always need tips on Florida gardening. You make it look easy but I can testify it's not but I keep trying. The heat, the bugs, the diseases all take their toll.
Looks like a lot of fun. I spent most of my fishing days going out of Haulover Canal and fishing in either Mosquito Lagoon or the Indian River. Can't believe you two aren't fighting off skeeters! Blessings to you both.
Come on Nancy don't let Hollis beat you! You had Nancy busy with that net. That was Amazing. 😊 Great day fishing, really enjoyed it. Nancy been thinking about you and praying for both of you on the loss of your mother. Hollis, I really enjoy the music you pick out for video. Good catch today. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH!
Wow !!! I can't believe you are at Rodman Dam !!! I grew up in Palatka Florida ....It is a beautiful place... I love it there. Would love to meet you there someday.. That would be a dream come true for me.. Love to fish and garden !!! Hope you caught your limit. Tell Nancy I love how she handles the net !!! Lol😊
It was a great day on the water, Nancy don't worry you have had many great days on the water you have to let hollis catch them every now and then and thanks for sharing 👍
Spent many a day as a kid hunting in the forest around there. I remember the stacks of trees along the banks. Kenwood Bass on my wall😊. Love the area and fishing the "old river".
Been there about 20 yrs ago. Good fishing. Oclawaha is great river. After running the boat up into the weeds we would make holes in floating vegetation with potato rake then drop grass shrimp into water and catch great bream.
Looks like a great fishing area .... I was wondering do you know if American Shad or Skip Jack Herring come up there to spawn in the spring from the ocean
Time for fall planting and fishing! You make me want to live in your area. Do you have your planting layout on FB Yet? We would love to see it. What new seeds are you trying for your fall planting? I will be trying to get trout here at our stocked pond this winter.
I know that place. I used to run the bombing range ( Rodman Target. I help train those hotshot pilots. Some caused fires. One jettisoned his fuel tank and had to declare emergency. One pilot hit my tower while doing night operations. There used to be this huge dead pine tree in the middle of the pilots run in to drop the bom bs on target. In the top of the pine was a huge bald eagle nest with eagles.
I love watching your channel but I’m moving many you tube channels and taking my favorites to rumble. So as I’ve unsubscribed your channel here, I’ve picked you up over there. Thank you for your love of God and country!
Great information. Thanks for sharing. How do you get to that ramp you guys launched from. I was recently there and we launched from a little area that has a ramp and it was difficult to launch because the city has placed big trash cans in the way.
Hello great video love watching y'all videos. How many times a week do y'all go fishing. Have y'all ever thought about building a fishing cart that y'all can pull up and down the banks y'all fish on with everything y'all use.... The dip net y'all use how tall is it and did y'all make it on a video.
Crappie fishing is fun.😊
Lots of folks, including me, would pay to go fishing with you two!
nice place

Love the Florida GATORS shirt!!! Go Gators!!
Looks like a great fishing area .... I was wondering do you know if American Shad or Skip Jack Herring come up there to spawn in the spring from the ocean
I ain’t never seen none. We have plenty of gizzard shad though
I used to fish there before I moved to Kentucky in 2006. I really miss that spot.
Really miss your gardening.

I hope they keep it as it is, it would be hard to see change again😊
Today I braved the Costco hordes and picked up meat. Your way of shopping looks much more enjoyable 😂
Next time, Hollis put Nancy up in the front of the boat so she can catch the fish. It was a great video shown off the rodman dam
LOL. She usually catches more than me. Today was my day. 😂😂😂
Below the dam is the Oklawaha River and comes out near Corky Bells restaurant in East Palatka. An excellent spot to watch for gators.

Does the Corps of Engineers manage that Dam
So has this channel become a fishing channel or a gardening channel?
The Rodman Dam makes it impossible for Striped Bass to propagate.
