Absolutely gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing your craftines! I completely shared the *GULP* over the $400 price tag on the mirrored collar. Your creativity and thriftiness made me a subscriber!!
Hi, My question is; "where did you get that great looking tree with natural look branches??? Is that a "live tree"? or, is it an "Artificial Flocked Tree''? Thanks for your creativity...
You did an awesome job! They both look great. This is a good blueprint for people to DIY with. Could use cardboard and then wrap it in plaid Xmas paper - endless design potential. ❤️
Thank you! Yes, you could absolutely use Christmas paper, it just might not hold up when you store it for next year. But, it is so inexpensive, you could always wrap it again.
This is such a great craft & cost! I’m going through my subscriptions & unsubbing from a lot of these “crafters”. One woman today, took “us” to Ikea for her hacks, I’m sorry but I don’t have 400-500$ to spend on craft decor. And because I said that, not to mention she lives in this grandiose house…I mentioned that if she & others would stop wasting so much money decorating, especially bedrooms & bathrooms, they could actually give to those in need. Another commenter scolded me & said it’s always poor people & saving a few hundred dollars to give wouldn’t help anyone. 🤦🏼♀️ and she deserves to decorate bathrooms/bedrooms. I’m sorry it just has really been a yucky day and your REAL crafting was such a joy to see!!! Thank u!!!! 😊
I'm sorry to hear you have had a tough day. I'm all about crafting and decorating on a budget and this tree collar is a favorite DIY! I have lots of thrift store upcycles too if you want to check out other budget-friendly projects. Hope you have a great weekend!
Sure. They are in the written blog post too. I tested three different sizes and they all work well: Small: 24″ across at the bottom, needs 9 trapezoid pieces Medium: 27.5″ across at the bottom, needs 10 trapezoid pieces Large: 30″ across at the bottom, needs 11 trapezoid pieces
Thanks so much for this!
This is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for the instructions. Using a trapezoid shape was brilliant as is the finish and the packability!

What a great idea! The mirror totally gives the same vibe and $400 (gulp) one.
Thank you! I am so happy with how it turned out and especially the cost.
I felt that in my heart when you paused…😂 I love Christmas but No lol.
