Thank you for all the kind comments! I'm so excited to be back 🙂 For those of you asking about James, we've just launched his own channel and yes, we will be back in the bunker kitchen 🧀👉 ruclips.net/channel/UCCJFWxm9fUtB4hPzNvmfcMA
Yeah, I was pretty gutted when the whole DriveTribe platform sort of died. I was particularly irritated that I never managed to make anything of my short tenure as DriveTribe's most eccentric poster. I never even met the chaps or visited the office! I was supposed to go to the big party thing at the start, but my wife said I was too busy. I kept thinking I'd call into the office, but I was never actually in London for anything during that time. I'll still take that 'Well Done' from Richard and James for my 2017 article of the year but... Yeah, I could have made more of it. I should have made more of it. I should have taken on more of the 'requested' articles rather than just pouring the mush that came out of my ill-functioning brain on the day... I don't think it helped that part of the way through mum died of cancer, then we had covid and lockdowns and stuff and I ended up spiralling into a near-suicidal hellpit of anxiety and depression. Then it turns out I have ADHD, as well as some somewhat autistic traits... I miss it though. I feel like maybe it was the wrong time? The concept for DT was really good, it seemed to work really well at times but I feel like the whole motoring landscape has changed. Maybe it's because Jeremy, James and Richard have already done pretty much everything that was worth doing to do with motoring, maybe it's because we're living in a world of electrics and hybrids by necessity and cars are generally 'dull-as-wallpapering' shopping trolleys or school-run taxis with about as much character as a Zanussi washing machine.... I dunno. I really enjoyed your cheap holiday thing where you did the three holidays in three days. That was a great clip. I'll definitely keep a look out for your travel videos. Not sure I'll be watching the 'behind the scenes with James May' stuff as he recommended me a car and owning it has left me with a somewhat unfortunate decision to make.
I was worried that you would not be able to survive but your past the 50K subscriber stage which seems to be the point individuals can go full time. Its seems like channels need about 50K subscribers for each full time creator. To bring in the revenue. Whilst the first hire a RUclips channel seems to make is often a video Editor to split the workload followed by camera crew & writers. Personally I think Linus Tech Tips did the sensible thing and first brought in an advertising/brand managment to handle the back end business and finance. Only then did they invest in hacking, shooting & cutting. Any thoughts given that you started in social media managment?
Really great to also see you back on your own channel 😍 So does that mean you no longer work on WHAT NEXT as well or only DRIVE TRIBE. If so, James will not be able to make his food stuff on WHAT NEXT channel anymore, not as good anyways. I really look forward to your new projects here on this channel and else where ❤️👌🏼
Some of the best stuff that came out of DriveTribe was actually FoodTribe - You and James, the bug out bunker. Just trying old sandwiches. The chemistry you two have is hilarious and hoping for more stuff like that in the future. Thanks for basically carrying DT on your back, before you it was just re-watermarked Instagram clips.

Wow Lucy, thanks for your update... kept checking What's.... AND here you are. This will be cool and great and exhilarating to see 🎉 Congratulations on your expanded (?) online presence. Ah, so clunky. Great that you made it to Banff. A beautiful place
I've been retired for a couple of years now, though still doing the occasional contract gig. One thing I learned and put into practice early on is that if you stay in the same place, you are effectively moving backwards. That's fine when you are old and nearing the end of your professional life. When you are young, however, moving around often is the best path to gain a maximum of new experience in your chosen field, or in any other field for that matter. Obviously, DT without Lucy Brown will not be the same and perhaps it will be less interesting. Lucy Brown without DT, however, holds lots of promise. A good reason to stay tuned.
It is actually quite refreshing to see a video talking about leaving a channel for a positive reason, rather than accusations of some kind of inane and ridiculous drama. Good luck with your new venture.
I appreciate that you may not have a 2nd camera person following you around on your own videos, but the self narratives added a lot of charm to the travel videos. You don’t see a lot of that on other channels. Good luck for the future. Hopefully you’ll also get more tart, oops sorry, down time 🤣
It was fabulous watching your videos on Drive Tribe with your no nonsense, yet fun approach. My Grand Daughter finds you a great inspiration. Good luck with your next chapter 👍
That’s a bummer, I was really enjoying you over there with the guys. Well, here’s to new endeavors and new horizons! Best of luck with the rebirth of your channel 👍👍👍
As long as you're slightly uncomfortable, or gently suffering we'll all have our eyes glued to the screen as we have with your work on Drivetribe/What's Next
As a person who is very self-conscious about themselves, watching the way you've grown more comfortable in front of the camera over the past 7 years has been a great motivator. I can only imagine how difficult it was for you to push yourself to the point where you are now able to self-shoot and edit travelogues by yourself. FoodTribe with you and James just being yourselves was some of the best content I have ever seen, in all sincerity. Wherever you go next, you're going to do an excellent job. I'll still be following along for sure.
I'm glad you've been able to have a wonderful time and got to go on adventures with DriveTribe and co. Sad to see you leave them, but excited for what your future holds! Good luck, keep up the amazing work, and know you have fans that will be cheering you on!
I've always found your style of commentary and genuineness quite enjoyable and refreshing on drivetribe, especially in this day and age of the typically "over-the-top" on-screen persona. So, I'll definitely miss seeing ya there 😢 But I can't wait to see what you post here again! Your behind the scenes breakdowns are neat, as someone who enjoys editing and creating media content as well.
Seven years is a long time! That's great experience though both in the direct adventures as well as all the filming technicalities behind the scenes. That should help immensely with your own channel as you forge a new path forward. :) Your very honest approach to things will be great whatever it is you decide to do. Perhaps one neat travel consideration would be my home nation, Canada. With provinces and territories that are often larger than most _nations_ on the rest of the planet, the environment, sights and culture vary immensely in this country.
Honestly, I’ve only been watching DriveTribe for the Lucy Brown episodes. Now can skip a step and go straight to the source! Best of luck in your new adventures! 🙂
Honestly, the only DriveTribe videos I used to religiously look forward to were your travelogues. Somehow you made them very relatable to us viewers. So, I'm looking forward to any and all travel videos on this channel too, I've already turned on the notifications for your channel on RUclips :p Wish you all the best! ♥
Aww, this is bittersweet :( But to be honest, as long as we keep getting content from you, on way or another, and hopefully some continued collaboration with May, I'm more than pleased! Looking forward to see where it takes you, and happy to come along on the ride!
Best of luck with your future endeavors Lucy! I followed you over to your own channel from DriveTribe because I was looking for more content with your personal touch, so this is a Win in my book.
Wish you the best Lucy, and I'm delighted to find this channel, wish I'd known about it before, but it came up recommended after the latest DriveTribe video, so hopefully the algorithm does right by you :D
Can't wait to see what you've got in store. IF you're up to it, clips where you're mortified - like on What Next? - are weirdly comforting and adorable as hell!😁
Great to hear that Lucy, personally i've stopped watching Drivetribe a while ago since i didn't gel with what my idea was for it, but i always liked to see what you and or James were up to. Hope this channel goes well
In July of 2020, I first saw you introduce your channel standing in a field and hear you say "Hi, I'm Lucy" and have watched you ever since. It was so refreshing to see someone so genunie. I could see the talent you had when first viewing your Vlogs. You have shared with us early on that some of your goals were to be more comfortable in front of the camera and make better videos. You have exceeded those goals beyond expectations. I am with you Lucy on this next chapter. Could it be a visit to the area in France where you went to school? Or the BTS challenges of building your own "brand" videos with your ideas? I say lets go!
it's been great to see you develop from someone comfortable behind the camera to someone comfortable in front of it , with various stages aof transition in between . keep going , really enjoy your work
Good luck Lucy, really enjoyed watching you interact with James and Richard along with all the traveling - looking forward to seeing what you share on your next chapter of life!!
Gutted you won't be doing 'What's Next?'. For me, this was the best part of Drivetribe. You mentioned that you'll still be doing travel videos, I'm looking forward to watching them. Good luck on your new venture, whatever it may be. 😊
YES!!! So please you are back. Loved the travel stuff with Drive Tribe/What Next but loved the stuff you did on here before too. Can’t wait for the next one!! So happy!
You were my favourite part of Drivetribe and I've loved every bit of What Next - if you just give us more of yourself in the world then I'm sure this channel will go from strength to strength. I especially love the travel based vids, and if you can convince someone to send you out to film more unknown destinations then I'd love to see it, but everything will be great!
Well time flies, and so does Lucy Brown. Can't wait to see what's next, but I'm sure it'll be interesting. Stay Well, and keep trying to cook more things.
I'd just been thinking how much I missed seeing you in videos. DriveTribe will not be the same without you but I'm thrilled you'll be making more of your own content. I love the dynamic you have with James (maybe one day you could go on a food Odyssey with him, Oz and James' wine adventure-style) so I'm glad we get to keep that. All the best in you current endeavour, and hope your travels bring you to Australia one day.
Wishing you all the best from the other side of the planet, Lucy! Will obviously be a shame not seeing you on DriveTribe anymore but looking forward to checking out this channel for new adventures!
Yes ma'am, your insecurities are relatable and endearing, you're lovely, and you're always a pleasure to watch. Looking forward to see what you're up to.
YOU'RE BACK : HURRAY !!!! Must admit I have missed seeing your videos, especially the "mini-cheap-travel" ones which, especially considering the cost of them, I thought were AMAAAAAAAAAAAZING !! And I can't wait to see what you get up to next (hope there are some more of those "cheap travel" vids). Good Luck Lucy !!!
As with most people, I always really enjoyed seeing you and May on DriveTribe. Some of the best stuff on there was the cooking but some other of my favourite stuff was the travelling! I’d love for you to travel more and go to more places! And this time put your own spin on things!
Great stuff Lucy... (and G'day from Australia.). I look forward to seeing what you get up to next. I'm sure Drive Tribe was just a mere stepping stone on to bigger and better things. :)
Super!
Welcome back Lucy. I have missed you. Whatever you decide to do, it will be absolutely superb and I will still be here looking forward to those notifications!
So if you're going to do more travel vids and you're comfy with a little bit crazy driving, absolutely do visit Montenegro. Not for a day - you'll need several days for that. God, what a beautiful country it is. Especially the road between Žabljak and Plužine, on maps it's R14/P14. I'll remember that drive for a very, very, very long time. I'll have to come back someday
Lucy, I have always enjoyed everything you've done -- get in front of that camera, and we'll watch what you do! You and James have made some of the most interesting and enjoyable videos I've seen, and we all want to see more. I'm sure I can speak for many of us: "Subscribed and clicked that bell!"
Well what ever you do, I’m invested in the journey! Watching you go from shy and awkward in front of camera to a budding professional is a fun journey.
Dear Lucy, I wish you all the very best for everything that comes next for you. Hope you'll be able to do something you're passionate about. I'm very happy DT brought us all together once. Thanks for keeping us updated! ✌️ You rock!
Best of luck moving forward. I'm sure you'll do great no matter what the next challenge brings. just subscribed and will look out for your next adventure
I was just thinking the other day that I wanted to see another one of your "cheap holiday" videos. They were fantastic. I can't wait to see where you go from here and how you grow this channel. Great to hear you're still working with James May though. You 2 always had great chemistry on camera. Nice to hear you're still friends.
Sad to see you part ways with DriveTribe, however hearing that you'll still be working with James is excellent! The dichotomy of young and old with you two was perfect! Can't wait to see what you come up with here!
Congrats Lucy! Very brave but much deserved - you are a fantastic presenter, and you've been able to learn from perhaps the world's best. Can't wait to see what you get up to on this channel.
I've been a subscriber of your channel virtually since you started it Lucy. I've loved watching your adventures on whatever channel it has been. I'm an older, grey haired gentleman (rather like James) and am looking forward to this new chapter. Keep up the good wirk pretty lady, all the best 👍
Life is moving on, hope in better and more interesting direction, I started following you, cause I so you on Drive tribe and I thought you might find some time for your own content, but whatever tomorrow brings, I hope we will continue to have good time in this virtual way. Keep on good work Lucy 👍✌️😉
I loved your videos on here before you were engulfed in Drivetribe work. I am now excited to see you're back. I really enjoyed your work. Now I can get to see it again!
Hi Lucy, I'm so glad this video came up at the top of my screen and I'm so happy to subscribe. I loved your behind the scenes vids you done earlier, and you present so well. I'm looking forward to seeing your new content and best of luck
All the best for this channel Lucy. I love watching your content on drivetibe and the travel vlogs on what’s next are amazing. I’m looking forward to watching more travel and behind the scenes. I’m sure this will take off
Drivetribe will never be the same or as good. Looking forward to your adventures. Whether small or large, you seem to make the subjects of your videos very entertaining. Best of times to you
I only watched the videos for you anyway, you've an awesome personality and work ethic, you made and edited all the content and certain other people literally didn't even get out of bed in their segments, just to give you shit and belittle you in the guise of banter.
I'm both happy and sad. I'm sad you're no longer with Drivetribe, but I'm very happy for you that you're going to be making your own content. I hope you have a ton of success branching out on your own, and I hope we'll see a lot more content here soon!

This just made my 2024 better. Strangely a few weeks ago i was thinking about when you last uploaded, but now you're back! Its been soo long
Wishing you all the best from the other side of the planet, Lucy! Will obviously be a shame not seeing you on DriveTribe anymore but looking forward to checking out this channel for new adventures!
Yes ma'am, your insecurities are relatable and endearing, you're lovely, and you're always a pleasure to watch. Looking forward to see what you're up to.
Love the Lucy vids… anything behind the scenes with you, Mike and the GT guys is always gold
So glad you’re back!
Best wishes for the new journey~ and thx a lot for bring so many good times.
Glad to see your cheerful face again! Wouldn't mind seeing you do some more cooking, pure Lucy style.
All the best of luck Lucy, love your content and you'll smash your next chapter.
Amazing. Great job. You have come so far. Can’t wait to see more!
Great stuff Lucy... (and G'day from Australia.). I look forward to seeing what you get up to next. I'm sure Drive Tribe was just a mere stepping stone on to bigger and better things. :)
Loved your Drivetribe content. Can’t wait to see what’s next for you!
Super!
Merci!
Good luck, Lucy Brown!
Welcome back, Lucy! And I'm excited to see your next adventures. Hoorah!
Good luck Lucy! I loved your travel vids - hope you can do more. Cheers!
Cant wait to see what you come up with Lucy 👍
I've been waiting for this video for AGES, getting CarThrottle vibes...
Lucy, you're awesome 😎, thank you for coming back!
Best of times to you
best of luck for the future.... cant wait to see what you and james get up to
2:40 A gentle sashay into The Dove in Hammersmith ... Well done, Lucy!
I only watched the videos for you anyway, you've an awesome personality and work ethic, you made and edited all the content and certain other people literally didn't even get out of bed in their segments, just to give you shit and belittle you in the guise of banter.
Keep up the awesome work, Lucy! I also only was watching Drive Tribe to see you and James May. I'm sure that I am not alone in that.
I'm both happy and sad. I'm sad you're no longer with Drivetribe, but I'm very happy for you that you're going to be making your own content. I hope you have a ton of success branching out on your own, and I hope we'll see a lot more content here soon!
Lucy you're the best! Sucks that you left Drivetribe but I'm so glad you are now gonna focus more on your own channel ❤️.
Shit! Gutted mate, but alas, you gotta go spread those wings... go learn and enjoy yourself, Lucy. Lee x
