I knew all of this information... but this was the simplest, relaxed, understandabe, and visually pleasing guide to add protein I've personally seen. 11/10
Cottage cheese and Greek yogurt are my go to dairy products for protein. I also try to throw frozen green peas into almost any savory dish that I can. Sunflower seeds are a new addition for me as well.
I just ate two eggs 12 grams Protein two buttered pieces of toast and two strips of bacon 6g Protein. And a cup of Cottage Cheese with blue berries for another 25g protein. For about 45 grams of protein in total. Easy quick protein rich breakfast.
Standard breakfast for me is - porridge (rolled oats, scoop protein, cinnamon made with water, usually add walnuts and frozen blueberries) or avocado smoothie ( avocado, green plus, scoop protein, scoop egg white powder, peanut butter with water ). I feel if I get enough protein in the morning I can go a bit less during the day when it’s harder to eat a proper meal then I eat a bit more at night, i also try to work it around my activities such as my workouts (higher protein after a workout) rest days (smaller portions throughout the day), I also look at my intake for the week rather than per day.
Ivy been buying that olkos Greek yogurt! It has between 15 to 25 grams of protein! Plus i put in flaxseed! Extra protein! Sometimes peanut butter too! I’ll make 2 whole w with egg whites! Whole wheat toast with either avocado 🥑 or peanut butter!

Flavour everything with crushed pepper and salt. 6. Grate some hard cheese. 612 calories and 74 grams of protein, faster than you can say "Uber".

I started incorporating a protein shake (8 oz 2% milk and 1 scoop chocolate Designer Whey) each morning, after my walk, but an hour or so before breakfast. That’s an easy 29 grams to start the day, without so many calories that it complicates budgeting for the rest of the day. And it tastes just like chocolate milk. Win-win!
@@AppleBottomJ Add blueberries and bananas, you can even add honey. I use hot water and frozen blueberries, then I add one hole banana chopped up. If I want extra sweetness, I use honey. Depends on you can make them crispy or soggy. You can even make protein bars in the morning. Healthy and delicious.

It's fine to mix it with a protein powder, BCAAs and other preworkouts. If you're prone to stomach upsets it might be a better idea to not mix it with a lot of caffeine
The typical advise for 1g protein for each lb of body weight just isn't realistic. I only eat 2 meals a day (steamed veggies in the afternoon and a proper dinner in the evening). I've been the same weight for about a year now. Unless I eat stacks of chicken breasts every day as my only meal there's just no way I can possibly eat 176g of protein every day.
I think it was 0.8g per lb of bodyweight, so for you it would be around 141g of protein. And that's the upper limit, NAM recommends 0.8g per kg of bodyweight. So since you're 80kg, that be 64g daily.
…eat another meal? 3 meals a day is not unrealistic, force yourself to do it until it becomes natural. If your goal is to gain weight and hit the protein goal, this is the way.
The starvation number is 0,6 gram or kg of body weight. Don't go lower then that, you can die from infectious disease. Your immunity will suck. I am also struggling with protein intake.

I recently started tracking my calories in MyFitnessPal, but it shows i eat too little proteine, eventhough i eat eggs meat, dairy, cheese... Maybe I just need to eat more, but it doesn't feel like I am eating too little. Usually have an egg for breakfast or lunch, some nuts as a snack, ham and chicken on sandwiches and my diner always has at least 150-200 grams of meat... Really need to find out whats missing lol
I’m trying to lose body fat and build muscle so I get confused. People say each a bunch of protein but then be in a caloric deficit so it’s like which one do I do??? Someone help please!?! Right now I’m in a calorie deficit but I do get In protein throughout the day. Probably not enough.
I recently started using a macro tracker to help me lose some fat. And I'm realizing how little protein and magnesium I'm getting. I don't drink milk often but I might start drinking more low fat milk. 😂 Protein bars are what I might need to invest in. And protein shakes, usually have a protein shake for break at work but even then it's not enough.
I'm somewhat lactose intolerant but low fat greek yogurt is such an easy and tasty protein source that I just add it to everything and deal with the consequences later LOL
@@anandgarhwal1421 its hard to say but dont over do it, if you take a lot more proteine your body will reject it because it cannot use it and if you keep piling up proteins for long periods of times it will do more harm than good. So if you workout maybe 4-6 times a week and you want serious gains just eat healthy and consistent diet with proteine rich foods, maybe 1 whey proteine shake per day and my experience with creatine monohydrate is very positive as well.
Studies have been shown there is very little damage to zero damage to your kidneys if you actually are able to eat to much protein 3g+ per pound of body weight over a year, especially if you are working out and utilising the protein for what it is best for and not just being a couch potato.
You didn't mention painful kidney stones from consuming too much protein, I pissed out one the size of a large grain of sand yesterday and I wanted to chop my dick off! I didn't do that of course but I've never been in that much pain before, at least not in that area. I work out 3-5 times a week and drink protein shakes regularly, I'm done with protein shakes. My doctor told me today that protein shakes are the cause... I'm 5'11 185lbs and normally consume about 100 grams of protein per day and it's too much. Don't eat too much protein or you'll wanna chop your dick off, kidney stones SUCK

Big fan of Oikos here, 15g per small container, 90 cal, no added sugar. I typically eat 2 for breakfast to start off with 30g protein.

If you want a boost, 1 cup oats = 26 grams of protein. So in the morning have 1 cup oats and you already have 26 grams of protein. Oats are cheap.
But the texture and taste sucks lol
