2 months ago I was listening to David Jeremiah and he mentioned a wonderful preacher by the name of Tony Evans. I felt prompted to look him up. I have been a prison chaplain for 16 years. I deal with liars and manipulation daily and not just inmates. Staff and managers over time become like inmates or institutionalized if they fail to guard their heart and spiritual life. I have listened to this sermon 4 times in the last few days. Ask Him for what you want. Of you want to be closer to Him, ask Him to help you. He certainly won't deny you that - as a matter of fact it's definitely available to you. He's ALREADY provided it to you - you have to make the next step. Start to walk in obedience to Him. If you want to be closer to Him, all you have to do is start to spend time with Him. Read your bible, believe what it says and live according to what it says. I knew that I needed to read my bible more, but was VERY difficult to commit like I should until I heard a prominent pastor say to ask God to help you with such. I prayed and God to help me to learn to love His Word. He honored my prayer, now it's the most important part of Mr day. It's like breathing, I can't get enough of it. God is faithful like that.

Prayer is a daily work and can be hard at times. We can make it hard by allowing the devil to discourage us from practicing it on a daily bases. But we can rely on GOD'S way of helping us to do in a decent manner because he helps us to counter act the Enemies tactics.

Ask Him for what you want. Of you want to be closer to Him, ask Him to help you. He certainly won't deny you that - as a matter of fact it's definitely available to you. He's ALREADY provided it to you - you have to make the next step. Start to walk in obedience to Him. If you want to be closer to Him, all you have to do is start to spend time with Him. Read your bible, believe what it says and live according to what it says. I knew that I needed to read my bible more, but was VERY difficult to commit like I should until I heard a prominent pastor say to ask God to help you with such. I prayed and God to help me to learn to love His Word. He honored my prayer, now it's the most important part of Mr day. It's like breathing, I can't get enough of it. God is faithful like that.

I've always liked Pastor Tony's way of teaching God's word.... I've listened for years.....
Prayer is a daily work and can be hard at times. We can make it hard by allowing the devil to discourage us from practicing it on a daily bases. But we can rely on GOD'S way of helping us to do in a decent manner because he helps us to counter act the Enemies tactics.
