I searched a PVP Tutorial just yesterday though I am not new, but I got interested in the game again, at night and watched your sword tutorial, now I had the search still open and found this. Thank you, this coincidence deserves a sub.
One important thing that you didn't mention which may confuse new players looking to get into PvP is that, while the Reapers have an emissary table at every outpost, they only have a representative at Reaper's Hideout. This means that not only must you go there to turn loot in to the Reapers, but you must go there to purchase the right to fly an emissary flag (it costs 20k gold, but you only need to purchase it once to be able to raise the flag on your own).
I have been playing since the game came out and I have always been a PVE pleb. One day I grinded for 4 ours on a sloop. I had 2 athenas and a bunch of loot. A galleon pulled up and completely decimated me and my friend. My friend rage quit but I didn’t. I was filled with so much rage. This is when I decided why be the prey when you can be the hunter. I went on a rampage. I was just ruthlessly killing everyone. I didn’t care if they had loot or not I just killed. I encountered a sloop with PVP gods. They killed me and where doing everything this video was explaining. Thank you for this video. Now I will start killing everyone. The game is called Sea Of Thieves for a reason.
So regarding the tip with the anchoring, what I do is I "set up" the anchor. When I'm approaching land, I make the anchor go almost all the way down then hold it there until I am at the spot I want to park at. Then I raise the sails and raise the anchor. It seems like an effective strategy to me. Use this tip as you wish.
this is one of those vids thhat you wish had came out/had seen right when you started playing the game. Very good vid, simple and straight to the point and helpfull, altho after playing the game for bout 3 years ive ended up learning most of this the heard way xd. Keep it up with the great content
Watched this video just before my play session today, and was able to use a lot of the info in the actual game. Super helpful man, thanks for all the tutorials.
Thanks for all these videos! I started playing this game since they added Pirates of the Caribbean. My buddies and I have been getting our asses handed to us and some of us been looking to get better while others just uninstalled.
Just got this game, hopped on, did tutorial, got to the first island after, took a quest, instantly got sunk by a big galleon or whatever, respawned, same happened with diffrent ship. Finally got the chest, got back to outpost, sunk again, someone took my loot. Not a very noobfriendly game at all.
You have some great content for solo slooping and sword tips since there is not much guides on that and I have been trying to find to new tips and this has really helped
Just subscribed to your channel. I can see that you've put a lot of effort into your content and I think you deserve more recognition. Hope your channel will continue to grow and thanks for the videos (even though I still have many more to watch)😂
I've been playing this game for a while and your tip videos are great. Any help I can get, I'll take. Keep up the good work and I hope your channel keeps growing.
I get LITERAL anxiety when i play SOT solo on a sloop, i use the soulflame collectors sails, figurehead, and cannons and the shark hunter black hull paint. Last time i played solo i did 2 OOS voyages and then sold, and then another 2 OOS voyages, and then sold. Then i gave my supplies to another sloop and i got off. My heart rate rises like 20% when i play alone.
I'm curious, why do I see streamers and youtubers hitting the ground when they do the sword lunge off of their ship? does it make you go farther or something? also why do they block or hold aim when grabbing a ships ladder? Things like this are what I've been looking for. great video I love your streams you're terrifying
i believe they changed how fast the sloop is against the wind, i’ve been running from a brig against wind trying to repair and they stayed right with me
You dont have to play people but it is infinitely more fun with someone to share the game with me and my boy play this game together and I've had insanely fun times
I feel like finding a good 4man crew is nearly impossible but the last time i joined random 3man i spawned on a reaper ship had 2 good mates we casually took out 3-4 ghost ships that were nearby and sold for a lot.
Nice how there is still tutorials for 2021 im new not even a week in and for my experience the game isn't noob friendly and i don't want my friends to see me the only one alive even though they started since the game came out so I wanted to watch these to get to know pvp
I guess im basic, i rock the reaper outfit and the tall tale dragon/fire ship set all the time but I own all the sails you said were dangerous lol. A wild card I guess. Been playing since day 1 off/on
Came back to SoT after a 2 year break... Adding it to Steam seems to have added a whole bunch of tryhard PvPers. I'm talking the kind that camp outposts and probably got banned from Counterstrike or TF2 for aimbotting, _but you can't report anyone who doesn't text-chat in SoT!_ -_-
I do not know if it works but I think that putting it in the furthest part of the bow does not carry any risk for the boat and it may be useful for a ram, confirm if it would work pls
Anchors are there to bring your ship to a full and quick stop. You just make sure to raise sails and anchor before doing anything else. The 'don't use anchor' argument is actually a noob move.
I mean it is totally playable by soloing Sea of thieves but not a lot of people are used to playing alone in these kinda games and it can get pretty lonely 😔.
If you wanna find a crew to play with, I highly recommend joining the official Sea of Thieves Discord server. Don't do open crews - it's an absolute clown fiesta 90% of the time.
he is running Bone crusher figure head, cannons and wheel, The wandering Reaper hull and Alpha sails from what i can tell. not sure whhat he has for a capstain as i cant see it properly.
The one about bringing exploding barrels onto the ship is probably one of the more important tips. It's seriously not worth it, i can't remember how many ships, like galleon and brigs, i've sunk because people store exploding barrels on their ship.
Me and my friend were fighting a skeleton boss in a tornado for no joke 3 hours and somebody comes and sinks our ship and takes everything we got from that boss

4:15 - Hey mate, are you not supposed to turn the sails hard right snd hard left when saoling against the wind?
The thing is the wind is positioned where he can't fully sail with the wind boosting him

what skin are u using for ur ship in the intro?
