i like how in depth you go into this... i haven't seen anyyy tutorials online that go in this much depth mainly they just say do this do that without actually explaining why
Once again, I don’t have serum but I have Vital and I applied the same theory step by step and got amazing results… thank you very much for this amazing tutorial
First thank you for this brillant channel Second, I allow myself to tell you something is "wrong" with the rolling bass : Your first Oscillator is a Saw wave with random phase. But you activates the Sub Osc at the same Octave ! The Sub Osc is a sample (No Random phase). It brings A LOT of phase cancellation (not very good for Sub frequencies) ;) The solutions if you want to keep your sub osc : Switch the Random Phase OFF on 1st OSC (and move the phase start point to find the good "phase alignment" with sub) go to the 1st Osc table and remove the fundamental ;) ) (And in my taste, it's better to activate the Monophonic on Serum for this kind of rolling bass) Cheers !
@@tubeo94 Exact ! I personnaly use the sub Oscillator for 2 things : - For "multiband sidechain" INSIDE SERUM (with the LFO) (Full sidechain for the sub, and soft for OSC) - When i need a 3rd OSC (mono voice) good for layering low frequencies with unisons. But mate, if you just cut the foundamental of your saw and add the sub..... It become again a Saw lol Cheers
Hi, how are you, I really like your work. But I was thinking, if you put the MID for the tutorials it would be really good to be able to follow the tutorial. Thank you very much!
Purchased the course, can’t wait to put into practice. I’ve been at this since atariST and AkaiS3000 but still only just getting it - it’s been so frustrating but all the courses open windows I. My mind and I’m starting to make good sounding shit. Will coming at you from the 90’s vibe my brother❤❤❤keep making advanced stuff on mixing too🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻please please❤😂
Ngl, it feels little bit, like you talking to a child -Here you go, but remember, we don't want our bass to do "WOOOOHS", so we add a little bit lfo, not to much... P. S. It's not a bad thing tho 😂

Keen observation, but I just either delete the fundamental of the saw or make another top bass separated from sub.
