After watching Prey, I’ve come to speculate that Billy knew what the hunter was. I like to think that at some point in the past Naru’s tribe encounters another hunter, most likely Greyback, and loses hence why he was her flintlock pistol in Predator 2. It’s possible the Sioux caught wind of what happened to that tribe and passed the story down. @trevorjames4619 That's what another recent post stated...I dunno if this is true or not. Be a bit more ironic given the punchline of Hawkins joke to him.
Billy is of native American origin, the biggest advantage they had against European settlers is being able to track them. Billy couldn't find a single track yet could feel the aliens presence which is why he was so spooked and admitted to poncho he's scared

It was a direct continuation of the recurring scene of a character challenging the Predator to a fair duel with only a melee weapon, as the theme played during the build up to the fight was a Japanese style rendition of the theme. The theme is played in Predator when Billy challenges the Jungle Hunter, when King Willie challenges the City Hunter and then finally when Hanzo challenges the Falconer. The Falconer is also the only Super Predator to show honour to prey and didn’t use his Falcon’s plasma caster to obliterate Hanzo, instead drawing his Scimitar to duel the Yakuza in an honourable duel to the death. Had Falconer’s fellow Super Predators witnessed this, he probably would’ve ended up on the totem like the Crucified Jungle Hunter they strung up. As Super Predators see the Yautja Honour code as a waste of time and pointless virtuous posturing, instead revelling in the thrill of a kill and taking the trophy by whatever means they deem fit. Falconer opted to honour the code.
