I was fortunate enough to visit Iceland with my husband and sons in 2017. I absolutely fell in love. What a country, and what amazing, friendly people.
That pizza looks soooooo good!!! I would love to try it with the jam. I recently gave pineapple and ham pizza a try after years of saying I didn’t like it without even trying it and let me tell you that I’m obsessed. I feel like jam on pizza might probably be my next pizza obsession.
Hiya! I’m new, and love what I’ve seen so far. I’ve no plans to travel soon, but Iceland, Norway, and the other Nordic countries are on my bucket list. So. You’ve mentioned in a couple of videos traveling a water bottle, as the tap water is so delicious! I wondered if there was much ice used in drinks, water bottles, etc.? I know it’s not common in some other countries, but it’s something that I’m quite fond of with drinks like water. Look forward to hearing from you!
Great vid and apologies for this question. RE your excellent vids on Iceland weather, given the combo of cold wind and humidity, what parka should I bring in the Fall?
No jam, but we had a great pizza in Reykjavik at a place called Pizzaria Italia on Laugavegur road. We had been watching locals go in there so decided to try it. I do not remember the exact cost but it seemed to the least expensive dinner on our trip.
Fun for me, possibly in a small minority, would be: "Hi, here in Reykjavik, Iceland, where it is 72 F and cloudy at 0700, I am going to talk to you about pizza."
00:30 "I don't know if you guys have ever considered putting jam on your pizza but if you haven't hopefully I'm about to convince you that this is the way to eat pizza. " The President of Italy would like you to be at his office next Monday, at 9 o'clock sharp, Madam.
I just recently returned from a second visit to Iceland and had a pizza with jam at Suður-Vík per your recommendation. It was sooo delicious! 😋 Thank you! 🌷
You never really expand on the prices of anything. I watched the video re Costco. It would have been helpful if you had shown us the prices of meat and fish instead of just the blueberries.
Hello Team Iceland and Jeannie! I have been following your videos for about 12 months. thanks for all the good hikes, food and places to see. I made my reservations in March 2023 for my special vacation. Fast forward to last week, arrived at the airport in Boston, waiting to board, then the dreaded words, "ICELAND AIR FLIGHT# 630 IS CANCELLED!!" Our plane has a fuel leak!! Flight is rescheduled for the next day. Came back the following day, waited to board, then deja vu, "FLIGHT # 636 IS CANCELLED AGAIN". Apparently, the part that was ordered to fix the plane, did not fix the fuel leak. Sadly, I never made it to Iceland this summer. Perhaps next year!!
Seems like you would need milk with it. I don’t think it is pizza anymore. It is more like a danish or a desert. A common ingredients of most pizza is tomato sauce and I can’t imagine jam on tomato sauce.
Just when things should be simple technology has to make things worse. I like paper menus paper books and things that are right at hand as opposed to. I was a Broadcast Engineer in TV Thing aren't being made easier but worse. My grandmother liked putting sugar on everything me I look for sugar in tomato sauce. It doesn't belong there. There is enough sugar or corn surup put in everything.
I will be traveling to Iceland in October and am a picky eater. Is it okay to ask the waiter/waitress to make a small change to a menu item, or is this considered rude?
One week ago I had the black crust pizza in Vik and now I can never eat another pizza again. The only disappointment from my trip to Iceland was not having the pizza with the currant jam.
4:40 baby monkeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MINE IS IN 10TH GRAdE NOW. HE LOOKS LIKE A LLARDO FIGURINE MODEL
Some people scream "blasphemy" when even thinking about Hawaiian pizza (with pineapples), let alone Íslensk 4-cheese Flatbaka with jam, but they should keep their trap shut until they have tried it! If they don't like it they can say with conviction that they don't like it, but should that allow them to dictate what other people are allowed to do or like?
*In AMERICA you buy a pizza for $9.99 and leave a 20% tip ($12). In iceland you get a smaller pizza for $25 and you do not leave a tip. In iceland this method is much better because you don't have to do any math in your head. You just pay the $25 and be done with it. In America we have a different opinion as to which one is the better value for the money.*
Sorry we missed that place. Next time we're in Iceland we'll make a point to try that. We did have some really good pizza during our visit in Vik, and compared to other food it was downright cheap.

Couldn't agree more! 🤩
Here in Brazil we have a cheese pizza with guava jam. Popularly known as Romeo and Juliet.
What is the flavour of the jam?
Just got back from Iceland yesterday. What an amazing country! Did the entire ring road. Lots of driving but well-worth the sights.
Amazing! So excited you were able to experience Iceland!
What is the flavor of the jam
Our favorite pizza eatery to go to. Their assortment of side dishes (tricks) is amazing!
So good!
Looks delicious! Need to try it next time I’m in Iceland! Also, your son is just adorable!
Ohh I love cheese pizza with jam 🤤 now I’ll be craving it until payday! 😅
Congrats on your baby and the man in your life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You won't be sorry!
You have the best personality.
Down the street at our Mom and Pop's it is $17.00 USD for a LARGE pep. But this is Florida, where everything is cheaper
well, now I have to try my favorite strawberry spread on pizza. I like strawberry spread on my ham sandwich, and egg dishes, and pancakes.
Thanks to this video, we visited this restaurant after visiting Sky Lagoon. The cheese and jam pizza was delicious!! Thank you for the recommendation.
Glad you enjoyed it!❤️
I'll ask too - what's the flavor of the jam? TIA

I would like gooseberry jam or red / yellow currants or even better green grape jam
I think my husband would love the jam pizza. He loves pizza cheese and sweet things.
Gonna be there next week for my birthday and we usually have pizza on my birthday sooo… Woot!
Looks and sounds yummy. I like that idea of jam on pizza!!!
I had pizza with jam on it the other night it was Soo yummy thanks for all the tips
You guys have an amazingly beautiful son! Absolutley adorable little boy! XXXOOO He makes us smile!
Thank you! I think he's pretty cute too!
Mmmm, sweet and salty combo!
You are definitely my main source of information for Iceland..
Thank you for making my last visit to Iceland a success 😊
Happy to hear that! Thank you for tuning in!
It actually looks delicious, I'm going to try it! What kind of jam is it?
Thank you for another great video❤❤❤❤❤
Crepe with cheese and jam or fruit compote is big in France so this makes sense. ❤
I had pizza at erikkson restaurant, but no jam. And my goodness it was soo good!
Great vid and apologies for this question. RE your excellent vids on Iceland weather, given the combo of cold wind and humidity, what parka should I bring in the Fall?
Check out my Amazon Store for packing lists by season, here is the one for Summer/Autumn: a.co/aY6S3ZB
Icelandic jam is so delicious - I’d definitely consider putting it on anything!
I used to like dipping my French fries into hot-fudge-sundaes , so I'd try this too 😊
🤣
Jam on Pizza...this is a sign of the end of the world 😉
No jam, but we had a great pizza in Reykjavik at a place called Pizzaria Italia on Laugavegur road. We had been watching locals go in there so decided to try it. I do not remember the exact cost but it seemed to the least expensive dinner on our trip.
In the US at Kroger, I get a pizza that’s my favorite and it has orange marmalade on it……Delicious😊♥️🙏🏻
Heading over now for birthday pizza we walked over from Harpa!
Enjoy!
Had pizza with jam in Vik. Seems sacrilegious but was actually delicious and I want more!
Add fig spread, yummm
Ooh, fig spread would be delightful!
I will not eat anywhere where a person does not take my order.
In Vik we had volcanic pizza topped with 4 different cheeses and humar. Outrageously delicious!
The baby's apron is fabulous!!! I might just have to try this jam on a pizza bite....what a fun outing!!💫
My nephew has a similar one. I believe they are from Ikea, called KLADDIG
MMMM we would totally eat jam on our pizza (so long as there were no anchovies :( )! Thank you for the great idea!!! :)
You're so welcome! I hope you get to try it soon!
Two best pizzas I had in Iceland:
1) Suour-Vik in Vik
2) Olverk Pizza in Hveragerði
I missed that one. I tried good pizza in other places that were also good. Thanks for this tip
I had the duck pizza with scallions and pecans. It was outstanding.
Fun for me, possibly in a small minority, would be: "Hi, here in Reykjavik, Iceland, where it is 72 F and cloudy at 0700, I am going to talk to you about pizza."
I get the jam on the pizza, just as good on a grilled cheese sandwich. This works well with cheeses like swiss that is soft and creamy.🤤
I wouldn't mind putting jam on a cheese pizza because it would be like a breakfast pizza to me.
I have never considered jam on pizza but I am very fussy and only ever go for cheese and tomato.
Tomato paste is just another way of saying tomato jam. 😂
I see Pepsi’s everywhere in your vids. Can you also get mountain dews?

@@IcelandwithaView And THANK YOU so much for your ebooks! They were a HUGE help when planning for my first visit to Iceland in Oct 2021. 👍👍

She did mention that the pizza was about $27, but price varies with toppings.
would love to know what type of cheeses they use and also the flavor of the jelly.
This restaurant has almost a dozen types of cheeses but they aren't as fancy as you may be used to. Check out their menu online ~ www.flatbakan.is/

Oh NO, I'm so sorry to hear that! Here's hoping you get another chance next year. 😊
Interesting they actually described it as a fuel leak. Usually the airline volunteers nothing and smirks as you guess
Please make a video on how to get a drivers license as an international student in iceland for non-eu
Your baby is so adorable 🥰 I am curious what fruit was used to make the jam, it seems so interesting like the raspberry jam with a Monte Cristo.
I think its red currant - not too sweet!
We do honey on our crust for dessert but never done jam.
Give it a try - on top of the cheese!
Hi! You missed two things i really want to know:
1) What KIND of jam?
2) What toppings are popular in Iceland?
Seems like you would need milk with it. I don’t think it is pizza anymore. It is more like a danish or a desert. A common ingredients of most pizza is tomato sauce and I can’t imagine jam on tomato sauce.
While traveling too Iceland is it hard to overcome the language barrier?
Not at all, English is widely spoken in Iceland. Thank you for watching!
Was that lingonberry jam?
Yes, I believe it was (or a very similar version/variety of it) it's very popular here!

Suður-Vík pizza is the best ;)
@@bobbyriley19 I went to black crust pizza and the first night we got a burger from Smidjan
@@jamesv9221 Awesome! Will go there next time!
Boli beers, I’m jealous. Iceland also ruined beer and coffee for me.
Pizza cooked in a brick oven, too.👍
Looking forward to it
I am going to try my pizza with Jam!. Another good topping is figs!
Vert expensive for this size of pizza 🤪
3:25 Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..everyone is blonde, like me
what flavor of jam did you order?
This restaurant only has one flavor of jam - red currant, I believe.
What kind of jam is on the pizza? Lingonberry or currant?
What flavor jam?
Or do you choose flavor?

Looks like lingonberry jam - am I right?
If that's pizza, you live a pizza deprived life.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂🤣
23 dollars for that size pizza is expensive
Will pass on jam on pizza…
Im not ordering pizza by a QR code. Too much with this New World Order nonsense. P.S. You're contributing to it.
Not fond of those QR codes.
Actually I don't know even how to use one....
Ps. But I like her videos though.
First time looking at her videos.
