    The East Busway is not the only bus-only expressway in Pittsburgh. There is also a South Busway that is shared with MMVTA commuter buses from Washington County and with the Port Authority's Light Rail Transit Tunnel. There is also a West Busway that I do not know too much about.

      The West Busway goes through the West End out to Carnegie; at Carnegie, buses get on the highway westward to the airport.

    Wait emergency vehicles are allowed in the busway ?

      Yes, and it makes sense because, especially from this area to Oakland, it's a great way to bypass a lot of traffic on the way to Presby.

    Sheesh how many times does it have to say Port Authority

      As many times as they want to. But that is changing as Port Authority is now Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) (The legal agency name remains as Port Authority of Allegheny County d/b/a Pittsburgh Regional Transit)
