Not really as there's still dozens more uses for emulation aside from gaming, it would probably just become less used and as time goes on become a niche
Looks like it's emulation, unless game makers are willing to natively port to windows the only place where easy native ports would be Linux, where the kernel shares many similarities with android's linux-based kernel
This... has potential. Still needs work; emulators still looks like the better option rn I've heard rumors of Mario Kart Tour being added soon; so that'll be nice...
The Google play gaming beta on PC was made eight months ago. I just learned about it now. Cool Tech. Can't use it though, because I only have two cores and no SSD.
hopefully they add more advanced control settings and give the freedom to the players to customize their controls with a mouse and keyboard like other emulators do :)
they now allow it, it's in the july update. i really think that if they continue polishing this emulators will be obsolete especially since many of them are slow for some reason
Yea. They need to get more games and better performance. After years of stadia this feels like an odd step to me but yhey wanna bring mobile to pc so here we go. It would be perfect for adding in streaming games.
one everyone moves on to the higher tech when prices goes down this will kill emulators since it bypasses the 3rd party banning rule that most people are afraid of when porting games to pc
I've been spoiled by the macro recorder portion of the emulators. Let me know when google play games puts something like that in and I'm switching immediately.
My phone cannot run games well at all and I'm much more comfortable with a PC anyway; I'm so excited. I've been playing Adorable Home on PC for the last two weeks and it has been so fun.
Right now with something like bluestacka u have alot more games and performance seems better. But being this just rolled out and is beta im sure it will improve. Supposedly they slow pace of games is that they being optimized to run on the pc client.
@@GameTechPlanet here's hoping they won't abandon it like their other projects *coughStadiacough*, seems to have potential to be the better if not the best emulator possible since it's from google themselves
For now. At least in the couple games ive played. But this is day one beta and supposedly they working on optimizing these games for the pc client so hopefully over some time this gets much better.
In my opinion they are same but android one might not have too much textures and less view distance stuff like that (still looks good imo) but you will just have more resource eaten up and experience more lag as it is an emulation which require more resource than what you would use on the pc version but if you want lower storage like 20gb, then go for it if you'd like.
I really do not see the point but I really hope this leads to development of higher quality and more fun games on the Play store because compared to what used to be and what can be I am quite disappointed especially on just a mobile device so hopefully something happens or I'll do it myself.
So I was working in an updated video but i stopped because even tho there have been a few updates it’s basically the same still. Keeping an eye on it tho.
Hi do you know how to change the install location from one location to another? It's downloading to my Boot drive instead of my mass storage even though when installing the app I chose my mass storage.
Love how games meant to run without much overhead on mobile somehow take up 20% CPU 100% of the time, even if you close the app. It continues to eat up resources in the background no matter what like a proper virus lol. Uninstalled that crap right away.
any way to fix google play games windows glitching out like a broken screen? every game i launch looks like the screen was broken (only appears within the game thats launched from google play) and makes everything unplayable. windows 11 dont know if maybe its an issue with windows 11 or maybe some missed setting i didnt see

Same as on oc without this client. Ur just downloading the game to ur pc u dont even need this to do that. Apparently thats a beta issue and that eventually the mobile version will be added to google play games app
Sad it isn’t streaming the games which honestly I would rather have. Ugh guess I gotta get a stronger PC. They could’ve brought us the “Xbox Gamepass of mobile gaming” but yeah, no streaming option. Hell they could’ve remade Stadia into a mobile game streaming service and bring that over to consoles. Think i’ll hit them with that feedback.
I think they are competing with amazon app store. Althought amazon app store was literally supported by the Microsoft store. Asphalt 9 is available on Microsoft store i believe with controller 🎮 support. No emulator needed, it is a ported pc version, very smooth.
If You take the most demanding game currently on offer and compare performance to other popular emulators, how does it compare ?
I'm not gonna lie this has a really big potential but we still have to wait till it is fully cooked.
Hopefully it runs more smoothly than Android emulators
