    A look at how I get on with these power conditioners from IsoTek in comparison to a standard inexpensive mains bar of the audiophile type.
    I also feed a dog in this film, and check out some latest music I'm listening too, with Ultramarine as my backing music.

    I love this, mostly because finally I’ve got someone I can relate to, reviewing items to listen to electronic music and not orchestral pieces only!

    Due to the fact I've got electrical noise in my setup! Ive auditioned the iso-tek Polaris and even though it help just a little bit with the noise, I must say I was impressed the extra dynamics, so now I'm thinking why not go one better and audition the iso-tek sirus!
    After watching this video you have now given me something else to think about, so thanks for posting!
    Had to come back to give you extra thanks for bonobo, actually you should feel honoured because your recommendation (samurai) has now made it to my mellow trance playlist!

    Had to try the Aquarius at home before spending money on possible snake oil. The first track I played had me reaching for my wallet. Makes my MuSo Qb2 sound like a 4k hifi. It makes the Uniti Star phenomenal. It made background noise disappear, no loss of anything, my system just seems to be able to breathe easily and perform its best. There are more expensive units up the IsoTek food chain, goodness only knows what they can do! It would seem that the Aquarius is a sweet spot in the range, with higher up units doing more, but at greater cost.

      it is one of those products that is easy to be dubious of until you try it. Enjoy!

      Billy. You made a good choice. The Aquarius is probably the peak of the cost/benefit curve, i.e., you'd have to double your money to get a 10% improvement. Unless you have extremely dirty mains, the Aquarius will work wonderfully,

    • @billywindsock9597
      @billywindsock9597 3 года назад +2

      @@Mike82ARP Agree. I have noticed that I don’t get days where the system sounds anything less than good. I’ve had good day/bad day systems in the past. Sometimes wonderful and other days something missing or wrong. That just doesn’t seen to happen now. I spent half a day with the Uniti Star plugged back into the wall. Although not terrible, I could hear a background again. Aquarius back, black silent background and better sound again. It works for me.

      @@billywindsock9597 I totally agree, I think they are like adding an improved amp. I recently tried mine with my Hegel H390 going back to a bog standard power strip when a subscriber friend came around. The change was very obvious.

    • @13thnotehifireviews7
      @13thnotehifireviews7  2 года назад +1

      Thanks . Don’t use the Sirius for power amps as it will throttle dynamics due to current output lower than wall. Isotek agree on that

    • @13thnotehifireviews7
      @13thnotehifireviews7  2 года назад

      I’m dubious about going crazy on power conditioning. Aquarius is my limit. You’ve got to think about where else you get lesser diminishing returns and it will be in areas like DACs , amps and speaker. Not conditioning or cables / reclockers / streaming transports. Common sense and experience dictates there.

    • @pmansk6120
      @pmansk6120 2 года назад +1

      @@13thnotehifireviews7 Thanks. My current streamer, DAC, amps and speakers are endgame for me. Just looking for consistent sound throughout the day, not just at night. If the Aquarius will provide that, great. The only way to figure that out would be an in-home demo. Not sure if a demo per se is possible, but there are US dealers who provide a trial period with return policies.

      You better spend your money on better speakers and amp, not these snake oil products... It's an engineering fact that these products have no audible effect what so ever... And I happen to be an engineer who works at a company that develops power supplies...

    I always thought this kind of shit was pure snake oil, until I tried it myself. But, I don't think it will work for every system and space out there. In my case, I have a pretty high end system in a living room with a lot of noisy stuff connected, like several UPS units, 4 computers, modem, several wifi boxes, security camera, heat pump, etc etc.
    I wanted to buy a Isotek Corvus, but nobody had it in stock so I had to make do with a Polaris (and 2 Isotek power cables), which only has a 10A fuse. But I can't say I notice much, if any, loss of dynamics. But after a LOT of critical listening, to both movies, music and games, the positives far outweigh any negatives. Much less noise, more detail, and the biggest of all for me is that the sibilance is far less audible than before. Month or so ago I suddenly started hearing sibilance in everything I played, no matter the system it was played on, so discovering these units, for me, is excellent.
    Would an Aquarius shave off the sibilance even more?
