@@Geekdom101it's something big regardless. Dragon Ball as the sleeping giant it's been for a while to get a red stage is a major deal. I'm sure that the passing of Toriyama has had some influence as well so a tribute to Toriyama may be included.

I think there's probably at least 3 or 4 arc ideas left for super. If he was dealing with health issues last year I think he gave toro storylines he'd like to see executed in the moment his death happened.

toyotaro had now almost aslong of a break as toriyama had in his career.
Its almost like toriyama's life has been playing out in dragonball media and despite being very private in his actual life his creations reflect his experiences.Sasuke toriyama not being a mangaka despite people wanting him to take over for his father i guess kinda mirrors the relationship of goku and his son. The sacrifices a mangaka might have to make in terms of family time kinda seem similar to the multiple times goku chose to pursue greatness at the expense of some relationships. From what ive seen the relationship between toriyama and his former editor torishima kinda parallel that of goku and vegeta. Its interesting. It really makes me think about toriyama's comments about goku being heroic saying that "goku didn5 fight for the sake of others" I believe both him and goku are "good people" but maybe those comments were a bit self referential?
I mean... people can shit on Toyotaro all they want. He's not Toriyama for certain.But even then... Toriyama is kinda like RJD's portrayal of Iron Man. And it's described best with a quote from Happy Hogan in Spiderman Far From Home.

Toriyama was great, but he's also had his hits and miss (people seem to forget how badly it was received at the time to have manga chapters about Gohan in high school...) I'd rather trust in Toyotaro than shit on him. If what he makes truly turns to shit, then let's turn the page. But for now, I'll give him his chance. He's improved a lot as a drawing artist.

Toriyama himself fell off pretty bad by buu Saga, but he was a top-tier artist in terms of paneling and design. Toyotaro isn't half of him tbh.

Whoever is stopping dbs from continuing in the anime needs to just give up, we want dbs back. A new movie would be pretty difficult since there's already a gap in the anime adaptation from broly to superhero because the moro and granola arc cant get animated. Going further past superhero will be boring because they cant show off anything that happened in the moro and granolah arcs, it'll make everything feel disconnected. Super hero worked because it was a gohan and picollo story without goku and vegeta but if the next movie has goku and veget back, it wont work as great

If the "next project" was indeed a movie, then I'm sure Toriyama-sensei at least had the time to write the first couple of drafts
I say this because everyone close to him talks about how much of a perfectionist and workaholic he was, despite the fact that he called himself lazy. He wrote a whole epic for the Broly film that had to be trimmed down into one hour and forty minutes and wrote two different versions of Super Hero. If Daima is as ahead of schedule as it seems, Toriyama might have been working on the next project for a good amount of time, and he has shown to be extremely dedicated to his scripts since Broly, so I'm sure some of his input will make it into the next Dragon Ball Super project. His final farewell to the medium of animation that made his work known to generations of kids and adults all around the world.
The DB Super anime will likely return in 2026, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the anime series.

Its not his usual style, however, if he knew he was sick, this is possible.
@@Geekdom101the funny thing is that Toriyama actually planned more than is commonly believed, something that has been talked about previously, he just kinda ran with the rumors that he was lazy and never planned anything. He's not the kind of writer Oda is, but he didn't write only from nothing every week. I would suggest rereading all his interviews on Kanzenshuu, as well as those with some of his editors.

Fun fact: Shuesha hired Toyoro thanks in part to his own creative dōjinshi aka Dragon Ball AF which is unofficially the direct continuation of Dragon Ball GT. Actually it's a second direct continuation, let's not forget Young Jiji's contributions with his own version of Dragon Ball AF.
Toyoro and Toriyama collaborated together and took notes from DBGT and DBAF and adapted into DBS.
Lol think about it Ultra Instinct got it's origins because of the legendary SSJ5 transformation, SSJ5 is all white/greyish shiny hair and fur and red eyes. Hmm red eyes 👀 🤔, Jiren's Full Power state is a fiery red pseudo Utra Instinct.

To be fair, that's a bit of an exaggeration since there are other people around who cover stuff over time so no, "Dragon Ball info" wouldn't be "dead". Perhaps a little less streamlined in some ways, but that's it.

I'm not saying that he doesn't do a great job or that he doesn't put a lot of effort into what he does because it's obvious he does, but I'm not going to act like Dragon Ball news wouldn't exist without him. Hell, I remember before Danny got popular Fornev covered Dragon Ball for a while and got news from him in the earlier 2010s. As long as Dragon Ball continues to exist and new content keeps coming there will always be someone to report it. There's no sole gatekeeper of Dragon Ball, it's a community.

If we're gonna get a new movie I hope we get more of Broly and Gohan Beast fighting together as the begin of the movie it would be a cool opening to see them spar doesn't have to be somebody winning just seeing them fight for a while just because those who are the two movies we had before sure I'm not the biggest fan of how they did Gohan's transformation and how he became it there were some stuff on that movie I really didn't like but a brawling movie I think was a masterpiece but of course that's just my opinion about it and I can get it at some people do like how he transformed into beast but I think the new version of Brawley is still the best and I hope to keep him around to see them trained to see them become stronger or in the case of Broly able to control himself, At least a bit more because he is amazing and he is a lot stronger than most characters I say I did say most I think he is stronger than beast but right now he has control issues so it is now weaker I feel and I think the next movie could be with freeza Giving us black freeza As a movie seeing in the Manga he came back, It would be a cool movie to do sure it's not that new but you also could give

Ngl a Moro arc movie would go pretty hard. It would also at least help get the new Super content out of the door. I really can’t see how they’re gonna get away with hiding Goku and Vegeta’s forms in yet ANOTHER movie. So either the movie would have to write off Goku and Vegeta again, or it would start the Moro arc. Or it would be set before the Moro arc but that would be a jarring chronological whiplash after Super Hero.

Impossible. UI is about calm mind, Beast is about angry. Gohan and Goku what do they have in common is SSJ2 so they would be weaker than Gogeta Blue. Is there small chance to combine UI and Ultimate but I don't think so.

Since broly came out and they mentioned a movie, I have literally been saying I specifically wanted toriyama to get to the end of Z, then do one last movie before retiring to drop little info bits here and there as toyotaro takes over.
Both so the final thing toriyama made would be the furthest chronologically (not counting online), but also we’d have a trilogy and that’s just so perfect. The super movie trilogy.
Now that he passed all I’ve been saying is “just let him have some notes in black frieza that they did before he passed”, and then exactly that “but if he had one last movie to fill that out, even if he just told toyotaro he wanted to do one, that’d be the miracle I could be satisfied on). So of course the title got my click even knowing we’re talking rumors.
I didn’t like toyotaro. The manga before moro was awful. Moro arc had some problems. But granolah was peak, and he’s learned so much. And even though he wrote AF, we all have objectively bad cringy fanfics that we all look back on unfavorably, he’s come a long way.
So if we can get Toriyama’s last work being a post Z thing, especially a last movie to finish super, that’ll just be perfect. And in either case I’m deciding to give my trust to toyotaro. He’s who we have now. And especially if Toriyama’s work can be finished in such a satisfying way, I think we can trust him to take it on from there.
Also if any movie needs to be made into an arc it’s broly. Toriyama wrote three hours worth of movie that had to be cut down, we need an anime arc to cover all of his notes, the whole double of content he wrote.
So if we can get Toriyama notes broly arc starting the rest of super, a black frieza arc with little notes of his, and a final movie/arc of his to finish super, it would still be the perfect end of his work leaving a clean start for toyotaro to head the next gen of db.

@@Thatfruitydude Akio Iyoku also mentioned a possible planned movie quite some time ago when we first learned about a "new web series" that would become Daima. It's quite possible that Toriyama had already written a script for it. Keep in mind that some of these movies are planned out years in advance. For example, Toriyama wrote the Broly movie before Super ended.
