Friday Night Funkin' (stylized as FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN' and often abbreviated to FNF) is an open-source donationware rhythm game first released in 2020 for a game jam. The game was developed by a team of four Newgrounds users, Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games. The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site whose popularity peaked in the early 2000s
The game mainly revolves around the player character, Boyfriend, who must defeat a variety of characters in singing and rapping contests in order to continue dating his love interest, Girlfriend. The gameplay revolves around hitting notes with timed inputs while avoiding running out of health for the duration of the song.
The game was initially created for the Ludum Dare 47 game jam in October 2020. A full version backed on Kickstarter titled Friday Night Funkin': The Full Ass Game is under development.
Mario[f] is a character created by the Japanese video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto. He is the title character of the Mario franchise and the mascot of the Japanese video game company Nintendo. Mario is an Italian plumber who resides in the Mushroom Kingdom with his younger twin brother, Luigi. Their adventures generally center on rescuing Princess Peach from the villain Bowser while using power-ups that give them different abilities.
Mario first appeared as the player character of Donkey Kong (1981), a platform game. Miyamoto wanted to use Popeye as the protagonist, but when he could not gain the licensing rights, he created Mario instead. The graphical limitations of arcade hardware influenced Mario's design, such as his large nose, mustache, and overalls. Miyamoto expected the character to be unpopular and planned to use him for cameo appearances; originally called "Mr. Video" and "Jumpman", he was renamed Mario after Nintendo of America's landlord Mario Segale. Mario's Madness is a mod directed by Marco Antonio The mod is centered around Mario.EXE; a creepier version of Mario from a well-known piece of artwork from DeviantArt. It also features a few other appearances from other official and unofficial horror-based Mario characters.
The mod has been in development for almost 2 years.
Super Horror Mario[1], also known by many nicknames, is the main antagonist of the mod. He originates from an art piece on DeviantArt made by Shadow-Shana.
In Mario's Madness, Horror Mario was an expert in the video game market and partnered with Dearest in the 90s. When Dearest made a lot of money, he betrayed Horror Mario and locked him in a Super Mario Bros. cartridge. After 30 years trapped, Horror Mario discovered the Dearest's family, especially his daughter and son-in-law, and he went to get revenge on Dearest through them by locking them in his world of madness.[5] He is the opponent of the song It's A-Me and Starman Slaughter, and is the first and last opponent in All-Stars

Well, I'm an author working with two authors on a peak fanfic we are making called "Wario Teaches Typing" and at one point in the story, us three authors as self-inserts (as well as one female VA as a self-insert as well) are team leaders who split the crew into teams for the neutral ending and my team (Me, the female VA's narrator character, Peppino, Sonic and Shadow) have to go through a Mario horror hack, where Kamek followed the advice of a demon disguised as god to kill everyone in Bowser's troops whilst he was away before the demon took control of Kamek and then the demon brutally killed Mario on his way to the castle. Then, he tried to kill Peach, deteriorate Luigi's mind with mind games to get him to commit s****** and play tag with Bowser Jr. to kill him and although the 3 escape, they don't go without brutal injuries (Bowser Jr's soul was actually taken by Kamek.) So I was thinking to use these lyrics at one point where my team have a showdown against Kamek with Bowser Jr. acting as the Parabones (or in this case Kamek's puppet) before Peach and Luigi interrupted Kamen's singing to sing about how they ended up like this and what Kamek had done before Kamek kills them, jumps back up and sings for a bit more before roaring, summoning the dead bodies of Peach, Luigi and Bowser Jr. before a Triple Trouble with lyrics remix is covered. SO we were thinking about covering your lyrics of this song for our fanfic when it's animated and stuff which will be a while :(. Hope you don't mind and we'll credit and you and your team for the lyrics as well :D

what makes this so good (at least to me) is the fact it portrays M as an usurper, with the princess lamenting the fact shes no longer in charge & yoshi wanting BF to not just stop him, but to put everyone to rest.
(at least, thats how i interpret it.)

I can't tell which one of the presentation is better, the editing or the writing.
For one, the editing is on par- no, BETTER than that of most lyricists on youtube.
As for the writing, I feel it really peaked in John Dick's part (The Parabones) and as for the part right after, Peach & Yoshi's... well, I mean the art was kinda... ehh... amateurish? I only say that in comparison to literally everything else here.
Overall, 9/10.

The editing was real fun to do, and I had a lot of ideas I put into the video, like the first art edit
For the writing, OhYouKnow and Sand did really good (I also wrote, but that’s mainly for the last part)
My fav part both on editing(except the M art part) and writing is prolly the M & John Dick duet
Peach & Yoshi’s part has a change in editing style because how much the song’s vibe just changed, now you have textbox real
I can see why you would think that about the art, but I’d say Xenia still did really good on it
9/10 is a really high rating, so I appreciate it

okay, one: Trumpet DryBone's (forgot the canon name) lyrics were actually GOD TIER. The way it blended with Mario's threatening words towards Boyfriend were so good and will be on my mind when playing the song without lyrics. Also, the theme of everyone seeing how blind Boyfriend is to how absolutely *FUCKED* his situation is was such a nice touch, especially how Mario sees it as foolish, while Yoshi, Peach, and Drybones all wish they were as careless, Drybones doomed to a fate of servitude to Mario, and Peach and Yoshi being betrayed by someone they saw as their best friend and protector.
