- Josh takes you step by step on how is able to upgrade his acropora tank into one large system. There are many reasons to why an aquarium needs to be moved. Whether it's because of home renovations or tank upgrades, many reefers face the problem of stressing or killing livestock through this process. Josh will explain to you everything he did to ensure ZERO livestock was harmed during this drastic move.

"Farming some bubble algae around here" @Vic 😂😂
Josh loves to farm everything
Such a well explain video . Just enjoyed watching every single video .
Outstanding thank you for your support!!!
Thx Guys! This was great
Thank you!!
Josh - could you post your Radion schedule? I remember you made a video describing how to do create one, but would you mind posting yours? The colors of your corals pop so well with the blue spectrum. Thanks!
Super cool! Id love to see a series where Josh walks us through how he sets up the new tank and the thought and reasoning behind his choices for things like flow, rock placement, lighting, hardware etc. I think it would be super informative series where we can learn alot from!
I've been considering something like this that's all simple cell phone content, something I can just pick up and put down when time prevails. Great idea not sure how well the crowd would appreciate it though.
@@jdearel1 Id love this personally! I get the "main stream" crowd wants to look at pretty things for the most part and that's what gets views, and that's ok. saying that thou I really believe there is plenty of room to move the hobby along, especially through knowledgeable people sharing what they know and how they approach things and taking us along for the ride, the ups and downs, even in short format. I find it remarkable how even passing comments I hear from you in general vids just make so much sense when you think about them and it gives me food for thought for my own tank, and that comes with your experience.
I feel we have to much "look at this great tank, lets take a quick look under the hood and chat about it for 5 minutes" vids that are great to show off what is possible and to draw new people into the hobby but not enough real "come along for my ride and you can learn from/with me" series, especially from a pro.
Last thought - From a business POV I think BRS is doing it right. when I started reefing (6~ years ago) I learned so much from there videos and that helped me succeed in reefing, stay in the hobby and intern spend more money in the long run. Win win. Not saying you have to take there style but the concept is valid for you guys also selling coral.
anyway - whatever comes of it, please keep rocking those tips and being awesome! big love!
"Overkill"? Nah...
This is reefing, we don't have that word in the hobby vocabulary. A beautiful office tank that is now a "lagoon".
Seeing the process was helpful. Josh is a wealth of knowledge and I always pick up tricks from your content. I also hope to see some future content on these two as a pair. My own hobby goals include a 200 gallon SPS tank and 100 gallon LPS tanks plumbed into a shared sump for much the same reasoning (tailoring the light and flow). But, I'm a few years out from the second tank purchase and am always happy to glean extra knowledge from WWC's wealth of expertise.
Thanks for the kind words. It is a great idea. Best of both worlds!!!! Less water testing is always a win 😂
Dude the content is always "up to Par" ..LOL Love the WWC Family!!
I see what you did lol!
@@WorldWideCorals 🤷🏽♂️🤣🤣🤣💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Always with the witty responses 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Your office tank is going to look great Josh when you’re done with it. 👏
Keep following the journey with us.
@@WorldWideCorals I will be
Tank looks great. Moving tanks always sucks but being organized always helps. I alway have a 40 breeder kept in storage just for that emergency situation you need to move something. Nothing is more stressful then having a problem and not having a tank to get things into.
YES ALWAYS A CONTINGENCY PLAN!!!!!
Gonna have to start charging Josh electricity and water for having all those tanks in his office 🤣
Oooo trust us he will be getting a bill soon lol
@@WorldWideCoralsreally love the way you all have employe tanks really let's you all see the personalities and preferences of everyone and also allows for a variety of different things to be done all at one time different fish different corals different brands and regions etc keep up the great vids y'all
I pay my rent in frags 😂
Thanks for the video, I have to move my tank..I'm not as worried, anxious about doing it now!
Just have a plan it's easy.. it only sucks when you try to do it all in one shot..
@@jdearel1 Agree - By the way, I like your reefing style: natural, efficient, and true to the fundamentals!
Great content, guys! Love the breakdown and pointers given... Maybe the frag tank could be a clam lagoon 🤷♂️ just sayn.
Interesting, never considered that. The goal is to produce some collector stuff though.
Awesome work guys. Loving the videos and the explanations. Great to see how you get from A to B.
Keep up the great work team 👏 👍 💪 🙌
Thank you so much!
Thank you!!
Looking amazing. Great info, hopefully don't have to move a tank soon.
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch!
Fun video! Chock full of tips. More videos like this please.
You bet!!
Josh, can you tell me how you set up your flow? Settings, percentages, intervals etc. Thanks! 😊
The left mp40 is on 100% reefcrest.(yellow) The right is on 70% constant (green)
@@jdearel1 Awesome, thanks Josh! Thats exactly how I set them up, alternating them every 6 hours.
I'm super curious to find out what lights Josh uses for this tank. I just brought home an Innovative Marine 150 with very similar dimensions
I use a small towel to frag into usually, unless it's a really weak connection.
That works really good as well to help take up the shock, good point. Unless of course it's one of those stupid plugs that's hard as hell. 😅
Man I’m digging the sky leds. I feel like these lights don’t get the attention they deserve. Spread is amazing and love the t5 look. I have 3 on my Redsea 900 3XL and everything looks great!
I've personally never used them maybe that's a good option. After all it's something different
I love the tanks. Can't wait to see how the frag tank develops. I have some AI blades, just a thought and they working well, give me good coverage.
Yes please keep watching the journey with us.
I think It would be cool to hang a thin panel of blades on this tank.
I usually watch videos at 1.5x speed to save some time. That being said, the background music was cool at that speed lol.
Oh god I hate the sound of my voice at regular speed I can't imagine at 1.5 I must sound like a Star wars creature.
Will you guys ever think of opening a location in the NY area?
It is never out of consideration
why are you using calc reactor media instead of going bare bottom in these tanks?
Hey guys, how did you plumb both tanks to the sump? One pump?
No there are two pumps one for each tank. I would hate for a single pump to go down and both tanks be out.
Were you guys using suction cup grips attached to the stand to move the 65 and 125? I would never think the suction cup grips would hold on to wood/mdf, only glass!??
We have our Grips that are just for glass yes
That's what I would have expected, but in video it looks like the suction grips are actually attached to the stands, and you guys lifted the stand and tank as one, no? @@WorldWideCorals
@user-nw1hr3ui2q yes, we use suction cups on smooth surfaces with no issues. If the stand is wooden and has grain, we would not use them.
Most definitely we use them in the stands. They hold better than you think. Sumps stands and tanks. If it's smooth enough we try. Sometimes it a bit too rough of a surface but if you keep them pumped up it buys you time.
Any idea how many pounds of reborn you used for the 125? I’m upgrading my reefer 350 to a 200g 71”x30” tank and I may go for reborn bottom. I want a thin layer like you’ve got.
Perfect dims
It is but it feels huge by my desk.
Looks perfect for a mangrove plant in the corner tank
Ooh that's a cool idea.
What about neptune sky for lighting will like to see how u guys will set them up something different besides ecotec and Ai
We have something different in mind for a change. Stay tuned!!! 😉
Great idea, I'm pretty sure we are going to do something different on this one.
What do you use for the sands ??
Sands or stands? The stands are wood construction, the subtrate is Reborn calcium reactor media.
01:36 I know the feeling 😬😳
4:06 I could say something here 🤣
Why wait
for lights why not try the newer illumagic x4
Seriously have considered
So I have a IM 15 Fusion, and I was thinking about using a canister filter on it, what are your thoughts on that? And possible a suggestion on which brand and model.
Nice name. My grandfathers race team.
@@Moodster93 It was a nickname given to me at work, I lost my tan.
Really I think that it's overkill, these all in one tanks are more than capable. I think if you are feeling like this there are other problems that need to be addressed.
BILLIEVE!!
Josh can you do an AI blade and Ecotech G6 Blues over ur new softy lps tank 🤔. Something similar to what u did on Vic’s tank a videos ago?
I really want to try something different it's time to break away from the norm I think.
I believe many of us that have followed u and your background work at WWC are all excited to see what you do lighting wise. I’m a huge fan and collector of any Bounce Mushroom and I’m still to this day obsessed with OG bounces. So I myself and excited to see how the progresses
4:03 That is why I always to do that with two people.
Yes you should always have at least one other person around for sure.
The hose was far too long for a simple demonstration, but it was funny to throw that in there....bloopers style 😅
I will take the 5th.
Maybe it's best then.
Josh’s secret filtration: who needs skimmer when you have bubble algae soaking up nutrients.
His big secret has been revealed
If that's the case then it was doing it's fair share of work 🤣
Nice
Thank you so much for watching!
What's the biggest aquarium anyone experienced brown jelly disease?
We have had jelly in nearly every aquarium over time. But if you act quickly and carefully it will remain isolated
Go bills !!!
Go Bills!!!
Reefbrite halide and some XHO over that frag tank????
Hmmm. This is a good idea.
Go Bills!
Thats it, shout-out tommy he's got a rally of bills fans going on here.
Use the Illumagic X4s
We have something else in mind for illumagic x4s 😁.
I have considered it.
Clean your glas Josh ! 😂😂
YES!!!!!!!!
Clean your glass Josh😂😂😂😂
We are trying with him haha
Only the front panel and then the others when I get a wild hair.......
Limpia el vidrio Josh!!!😅
Wow🔥🔥🔥🔥2nd
Thank you for watching!
use the new AI products exclusively for the new tank so show the results.
I really do like the blades.
first
Lets go!!
Nice video and how about them bills 🦬 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
